Right. I’m just saying they’ve entertained certain liberties with interpretations with changes to certain characters. So she’s MJ, but not classic MJ. And I tend to think Black Cat works better at least for a film or two with the rougher, poor, on his own Parker than his previous version.

I'd agree with this. Also would be a new live action character so that's probably enticing. And it would give Peter a romantic interest in someone that would work completely differently from his relationship with MJ.

Exactly. Felicia is an entirely new character and a comic appropriate love interest to riff on.

I thought it would EVENTUALLY break 1billion. To do it in just over a week is pretty amazing given that many people are not going out.
No way I could have enjoyed that movie the same at home.

The same way Wanda made that town disappear to the point the police in the next town had never heard of the missing town.
Magic don't have to make total sense.

I’m okay with Eddie being a different reality. The Carnage movie was a hot pile of disappointing shite.

IDK if it is an unpopular opinion but Venom 2 pretty much tells me that symbiote on symbiote fight scenes are tired at this point and we've only had that for a total of one movie before Venom 2 which was the first Venom.

That shite got exhausting real quick in Venom 2. Only so much you can do with a universe where Venom and symbiotes are the only thing that exists.

I'm at least glad that part of the symbiote stays in the NWH post credit. It will have more variety in the MCU vs. the Venom verse. If Venom 3 doesn't change things up, that movie is gonna be a colossal failure

I just loved the dialogue between Tobey and Andrew. Andrew was beating himself up in almost every scene and Tobey was very supportive. It was good to see 3 very different takes on Peter Parker and see how they all dealt with their grief.

Tobey was the old steady hand who had learned balance from his struggles.

Garfield had given in to rage and despair, unable to forgive himself.

Tom was reeling and teetering on the brink.

Just fantastic character development.

Now, they just need Ned to become a super villain and stab Tom to bring the arcs full circle

Yeah, what is Department of Damage Control and where did it come from?

That was one of the things I didn’t get. That seemed like some lame arse Warner/DC comics bullshite.

Didn't you watch Spider-Man Homecoming?

Damage Control was the department that fired Adrien Coombs and his crew after the Battle of New York. They were the impetus behind his turning into The Vulture.

They're the branch of SHIELD that cleans up the mess when the Avengers' battles destroy a city.

What confused me, then, was the questioning by lead "cop." Being a SHIELD branch, they should be familiar with Spider-Man and what he did in Far From Home. That made the whole "legal jeopardy" intro pointless unless it existed for the sole reason of introducing Daredevil.

It isnt lazy writing to close up a storyline with "take a shot" and live happily ever after? Is that consistent with the comic books? As i alluded to, it is consistent with "go back in time and save the day" in my opinion. It is like a stephen king novel lazy.

Did they ever explain how "fixing them" would have saved them anyway? They were going to have to back eventually, right?

Implicitly, they would not die because they would not be trying to kill Spider-Man anymore?

I think they did it because they didnt want to glorify bullying.

Instead the made the "bully" a complete loser in himself and easy to laugh at. Normally Flash is a bully and is popular and (im not saying i agree with this) but it could make kids think being a bully is cool. So instead they just made him obviously lame to not glorify bullying. **shrug** who the frick knows. lol

Peter attends a "magnet" type school where all of the kids are smart. It was meant for a cheap laugh, and it worked.

SHIELD kind of went through some changes from the time Damage Control was introduced after the Battle of New York to the time of Far From Home.

Damage Control was introduced in the flashback scene before Spider-Man was known. Homecoming took place after the whole Hydra infiltrated SHIELD thing. It still doesn't make sense, but that's what I'm telling myself.

So here’s the ultimate badass Bridger Walker was invited on the set by Tom Holland. Bridger got mutilated saving his sister’s life from a rabid dog. He’s an amazing kid,

That’s so awesome of Tom

and man the pussy that is going to be thrown this kid’s way when he gets to be college aged is going to be nuts. There are fathers looking across the living room at their daughters around his age hoping she ends up with him or someone like him. Good for them bringing him on set.

I was far from the only one in the Bridger threads who said and knows this kid when he gets to college is going to be slaying poon like no one else. This kid is a legend and will be set for life simply for being a hero to his little sister.

So a 6 year boy does an awesome heroic thing and your mind immediately pivots to fantasizing about said child’s sex life 15 years from now and you don’t see how fricking creepy you just made this?

You’re like the irl version of this guy
