Allegedly, he never knew Peter Parker was Spider-Man. Also, if Peter’s from Queens he’s more likely a homosexual white guy with an adopted daughter and a great view of Manhattan than a black guy.

this screenshot is great. Don't know why my mind blanked on them pointing at each other in this scene but remembering them pointing at each other in the lab.

I mean yeah, look at the way he said goodbye at the end before casting the long spell - damn near shed a tear.

Got to think the whole fighting Thanos in outer space and getting snapped and all of that would change a way a guy think is about his little buddy there

Didn't read through the whole thread , but can anyone tell me how spidermans body keeps the magic box away from strange while Peter is "knocked" out of it?

I laughed at that line and didn’t think about it again. You’re overthinking it.

The reason that Max is in the MCU is because he would know Peter Parker and Peter Parker is Spider-Man.

Like the main plot point of the movie is these villains jumping in because they knew him.

That’s not overthinking. That’s a plot hole the size of the Grand Canyon.

And yet it’s still a good movie, which I’ve now seen, twice.

Finally got to see it and I loved it. I dragged the whole family and man for a Tuesday at 6, that theater was way more crowded(though not full) than I thought, despite it showing on 5 screens.

Strange mentioned they used the spell to forget a party and the trailer made Wong look like he was against it way more than he actually was in the movie. Here he was more "nah, bad idea, I'd you're doing this than I'm out. Later"

As pointed out, Strange has basically abused magic countless times already. It looks like Mondo finally comes after him for it in the next movie.

That scene was kinda odd but I’ll chalk it up to his spider sense

This one has been glossed over. My best two guesses are either a secondary effect of his spider sense.

OR

Since all of his five senses were enhanced by the spider bite perhaps his other extrasensory powers were also enhanced

Either way, Max shouldn’t be there.

Harry Osborn should’ve been.

It was definitely his Peter Tingle.

He had the fuzzy lines above his head like he does in the comics whenever he used his spider sense.

Apparently this was far easier to see in the IMAX version because they had a lot more headroom in each shot.

I read a good theory that’s satisfactory enough for me. At end of ASM2 when Electro is stuck in the power, Gwen yells out “Peter”. So plausibly electro could have heard that in that scene. Thus knowing his name but not what he looks like.

I think it’s a stretch but hey whatever works.

After seeing this twice, with all the great moments and fan service, playing as a sequel to 7Spider-Man films, in a way, as I’ve stated it’s very good.

Depending on the finale of Hawkeye is where I’ll rank this in MCU projects this year. They’ve had undeniably great ones Loki and WandaVision, very good ones like the aforementioned, some stinkers like F&TWS.

NWH is nearly a bullseye.

It’s not Homecoming though. That’s the perfect Spider-Man film. For the car ride to the dance alone.

It would be cool to see Spider-Man (or Daredevil)show up in Hawkeye as he takes on The Big Guy-since they showed the Rockefeller Christmas tree at the end, & Hawkeye’s grand finale takes place there.

Garfield was the best thing in the movie.

I really hope that they stick with poor Peter in the homemade suit and ditch the Stark tech and Avengers membership.

Man, your takes are weird, yet I sort of understand them.

But still, weird.

Peter has been in multiple teams, it only makes sense. And the MCU has turned him into a foil for the overly serious people like Strange. It works well.

I may have missed it watching the movie, but did Peter explain why he had to take the evil guys with him to Happys to save them?

Why couldn’t he have just created the cure and injected it while they were still caged?

I enjoyed the movie tho

If I remembered correctly, Happy had the equipment to make it at his apartment.
