Toby McGuire's cartoony Stretch Armstrong impersonation in the first Spiderman, jumping from rooftop to rooftop still bothers me

Looked like it was rendered for the Nintendo 64.

not really special effects but poor sets.

Moving wall in Running Man
Moving headstone in Batman Returns

All special effects in movies straight to the Sy-Fy channel are legit!

Nightmare on Elm Street

Nancy going up the stairs...you can clearly see a liquid substance in the stairs where Nancy is going to step. And Nancy's mom being pulled through the window at the end--obviously a dummy.

Originally, the Yoda in Episode I was a puppet. Why it looked NOTHING like Yoda, I'll never know.

I loved the movie and Jeff Bridges' performance, but the the special effects in Starman were laughable even in 1984.

speaking of Blade, I remember thinking the ending of the original looked like complete crap even for coming out in 98.

Yeah, that car chase scene was badass.

The chase as a whole was great (loved the vampires jumping into the car) but the slo-mo of the agent jumping on the car looked cartoony.

Will Smith's rubber zombies

I never understood how the SFX in Twilight and the Will Smith vampire movie was so bad. In this day and age, there is no excuse outside of going with a cheap company.

When was this?
