I agree and it’s one of the things that makes South Park so iconic and have staying power. Just look through the comments to see how the message is often lost though because one or the other side latches on to one thing to support their narrative. The reality is SP made fun of both sides here as is typically their MO.

Pandering via gender and race swapping IS lazy. That doesn’t mean well written stories with fleshed out characters who are diverse can’t work well though.

Look at the success of the Spiderverse movies and fan opinions on Miles Morales. He’s not just Peter Parker but black, he’s his own thing with his own life and struggles as Spider-Man. And it works fantastically well.

I wouldn’t call any of those season long storylines. They changed the setting of the show or changed attributes for certain characters. That is different.

Using your logic, they’ve done this since the beginning:

Kenny dying every episode
Cartmans mom is a slut
Cartman is a fatass
Kyles mom is a bitch
Kyle is a Jew
Garrison is a closeted gay, open gay, tranny
Mr Slave as an assistant
Ms chokesondick as their teacher

Etc

South Park pussed out.

Is the snowflake mad that South Park ripped his side now? Diversity for diversity sake is lazy especially when it’s coupled with just lazy writing. But doing nothing but bitching about “woke” and diversity is lazy as frick too. That’s not me saying that, that’s literally the entire point of the episode. The culture war is retarded and both sides look like idiots

I sort of get what you're saying, but "doing nothing but bitching" isn't exactly what's going on here though. People are avoiding Disney products and properties in droves, and it's vastly affecting their bottom line. That is absolutely "doing something."

Do you think companies like Disney and Bud Light's recent financial happenings are from people "doing nothing but bitching about wokeness"?

I purposefully corrupted a piece of art that you love by arbitrarily race and gender swapping established characters; embarrassing, emasculating, and sidelining them in their own movies; and pushing values and political messages that are both harmful to society as a whole, anathema to the beliefs of the characters I am reimagining, and fly in the face of the people who I charge money to view said art. People who are offended by this purposefully offensive art I made sure do look cringe for being angry. It’s their fault that I destroyed something they love. Them hating the unnecessarily controversial piece of art I made forced me to make my art shitty on purpose to spite them.

Aren’t both sides so cringe?

Because Cartman wasn’t entirely wrong. Race and gender swapping established characters is dumb, lazy, and purposefully provocative. A lot of what the modern progressive movement is pushing is extremely harmful for society. No one has a problem with Myles Morales because he was a new character with his own independent backstory that was well-written and made to fit within his own universe. “Into the Spiderverse” is a really good film.

Eventually you realize progressivism is just anti-Western. It has no adequate replacement in terms of philosophy, morals, or government systems. If they think something is "western" they develop a support movement behind the opposite.

Every recent Disney movie and show could be all white males, and they would still be awful.

That's because they would make even less sense. Much of what Disney has been pushing out has been from the standpoint of subtly (and not so subtly) pushing social justice activism as the true focal point of their stories. What the characters are doing and trying to achieve is secondary to the core narrative of "female/trans/etc = good, white or white male = bad".

He was right about it being lazy but beyond that he was absolutely wrong acting like it’s some big push to replace white people and culture is just dumb paranoia

But what about making a black vampire human hybrid into the fourth lead in his own movie, taking a backseat to female characters and learning life lessons?

They just had a 6 episode season this year. It's on Max now and has been for months.

Personally I love Randy. I never found it funny when it was just about the kids because there was nothing for me to relate to and it was just crass and gross. Randy is my favorite part of the show. Randy and Mackey are so funny! I like the adults as the main story and the kids as the B story.
