Correct. It’s an underfunded system when it comes to agencies that help with homeless youth programs, CHFS/CPS (where a lot of these kids fall through LARGE cracks), and a shrinking pool of private orgnanizations (like faith-based) who used to be able to pick up the slack.
And to make it even harder, most of these teens will not be trusting at all of anyone trying to help them, because they've already experienced many kinds of abuse from previous people who were supposed to help them. Therefore, these teens tend to take whatever stuff they can get (food, clothes, money) and run again because they feel safer on the street with another similar teen than with anyone trying to help.

This seems like a dumb argument you guys are having.
Not me. I specifically am commenting on their lack of comments about the actual movie, which this thread (on the M/TV board) is supposed to be about.

Not a comment on the movie.

The only reason you have to ask is because you’re trying to twist what I said which was a quote from you ergo you’re twisting your own words to deflect from what you said previously. My point stands, you’re completely dishonest and your comments are politically motivated.

SFP has the integrity of a middle eastern bazaar owner. Too intellectually dishonest. Not surprising since he’s a lawyer, after all. Dude argues for a living.

Hopefully he works for a big paper firm because his arguments are always shite.

No your comment doesn't make sense using idols or ideals.

Wrong

Super wrong (unless you're referencing HT replacing the WOD)

The last time I appealed a trial court that ruled against me, I won on appeal (which is not easy). Had the LASC taken the case, it would have set precedent (in my favor)
But I don't do much arguing in my day to day job. I'm much more of a nanny, cat herder, and negotiator.

Crawfishing isn’t a legitimate debating tactic.
Posted on 7/6/23 at 4:20 pm to blueboy
Me agreeing with you isn't making a comment about the movie.
It's making a comment about why I'm not going to see it in theaters. There's a huge rhetorical distinction.

Crawfishing? Do you know what that word means?
Again: political idols or ideals?

Like I said, you drown people in paper.
Posted on 7/6/23 at 4:24 pm to SlowFlowPro
Your stance was that this topic is a right wing fantasy that doesn’t exist and you also said the people who take it seriously only do so because of their political beliefs. None of that is true, you injected the politics into this thread to defend your political “idols” because you believe this problem reflects on them in a poor way. I couldn’t have been more clear and neither could you so crawfishing and spinning now won’t do you any good.

No

No. The right wing has developed a fantasy mythos around this. Huge difference.

that doesn’t exist
I never said that.

Quote me saying this.

your political “idols”
I have none.

Not gonna argue with a dishonest person.

Still relying on that strawman?
A white flag would be more effective.
Posted on 7/6/23 at 5:25 pm to SlowFlowPro
Again I quoted you so what you’re saying is you’re using a straw man.

I encourage everyone to go and see this film.
Shining a light on this is a positive. Despite the
curious protestations of some of our posters.
Child trafficking is bad. I shouldn’t have to say that.

Which quote, specifically?
Are you talking about three words (“preconceived political beliefs “) ?
And you extrapolated all of your rambling from those 3 words?
