But isn't any attention brought to the issue a good thing?
Not if that attention has a lot of hidden "and thens" (You know improv so you should get that).
That's how this argument ultimately goes. A reasonable initial stance is provided (child sex trafficking is wrong), but that's not all you have to buy b/c you have to adapt complete adherence to the totality of the belief system (the "and then"). If you reject the crazy "and then" ("the elites of the world engage in child slavery and sexual/ritual sacrifice"), then they snake their way backwards to the original, reasonable point and claim you don't support that reasonable point...how crazy ("You support child trafficking? That's terrible).
That's how cults operate.
That's why you see such repetitive, NPC responses (cults are big on repetition, too).
Also, combating this problem in any meaningful way will NOT look like what this guy does, so focusing on the story told in this manner is also ineffective towards actually doing something (but it does permit virtue signaling).

You should take your support of child trafficking back to the political board.
People like to talk about movies without hearing your mealy mouthed bullshite.

I get the wider implications and all the political and societal and religious overtones I just thought it was a conversation between friends
By the way for the 20th anniversary you should have me as a guest on your tiger droppings podcast because I would be more interesting than Paige and PJ combined times 10

Give me grief??? Some of those politards have said I should be killed cause my beliefs don’t align with theirs. The same ones that then go on in another thread and preach about what “good Christians” they are.

More LGBTQ kids and black and brown teenagers from broken homes are suffering from trafficking here in the US. Do these “Christians” give a frick about those kids? Nope
You're the only one making a distinction between "categories" of children here. Deflection from the topic, nothing more.

Now do economic migrants coming to the US illegally from Central America to avoid human trafficking.

Stopping illegal border crossings into the USA would end an extremely large amount of trafficking.

No the people would still be trafficked, just within Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, etc. by organized crime.
Again, this is where definitions become VERY important, especially discussing what kind of trafficking is going on.

This argument doesn't make trafficking into the USA a "good" thing. We would stop a large percentage of the trafficking trade if we simply closed the US border to illegal crossing.

People fleeing trafficking is not trafficking.
Sure, actual trafficking into the US isn't good, but it's not really a huge population in terms of international human trafficking. You have to focus on Asia, Africa, and Eastern Europe to put a dent in the total numbers.

That would just circulate the same trafficking outside of the US.
That would stop a small percentage of the US domestic trafficking, though, yes. That population is primarily US citizen runaways from shitty homes, though. A wall 100 miles high won't affect their lives.
Posted on 7/8/23 at 9:18 pm to SlowFlowPro
The point of the wall was to funnel into choke points

He’s a moron, just look at how he describes, in absolutes, things he knows nothing about. The real tell is he doesn’t want anybody else snooping around these issues.

Economic disparities and black markets leading to exploitation areas for organized crime?
Why don't YOU want to talk about the real issues?
