I like it.... missed the first few episodes but have gotten into.
The basic story...
Biker Gang that deals in illegal guns
Tied into the capt of the police dept
Rival biker gangs that they clash with
Feds investigating them for gun running
If you like the shield, you would prob like this.

Yeah, I have been watching SOA since the first episode, i love it. It will be a worthy replacement for the shield , but I will hate to see them both go on the same night.

Subtlties:
1- When the ATF gal pulled up, I knew there would be punches. It happened on NYPD Blue and it happened on the Shield when Vic attacked Forrest Whitaker after Lem's death.
2- Instead of having the cop punch a woman, there was an unnamed toadie with her to step in front of the cop to take the punch.
3- The show started with the sunrise, and ended with everyone in bed, and the same song played, forever young.

I don't know Opie's character enough to predict what he thinks about the assassination. The shootout was perhaps reason enough. And it was disguised by using the SUV. Maybe he'll figure it's retribution against the gang generally.

Civil War is the only possible outcome I can see ahead. Especially when it shows Jax punching the guy that killed Opie's wife. New guys take out the old guys. It also eluded to this with the conversation with Jax and Opie when packing the guns.
