I didnt know it was even coming on, there is usually some media, lots of commercials, etc

I didnt see anything

the fact that Keenan has his own show and still came back lends me to believe he is sticking around because he will be the replacement for Lorne when the time comes

They said this in the 70s, 80s, 90s, etc. It isn’t going anywhere.

With so many liberals in the US it's bound to make it. Back in the 70's, 80's and 90's SNL relied on either neutral or bipartisanship. There's enough cucks out there to keep it going based off of just sheer numbers of population.

Covid meant a helluva a lot more people stuck at home on Saturday nights. Should have given them a larger audience.

Instead, the audience went to streaming because it was a beating to watch bloated alcoholic Alec Baldwin scrunching up his face and yelling into the camera every week. And as we've discussed plenty, there just haven't been any real stars on that show in a couple years.

She is the hero and better than everyone, despite the fact in the first season alone she gets three abortions as her primary means of birth control.

After having to search for a pic of her, she seems to be just as ugly on the outside as she is internally. It's a good thing that she can write her way to three abortions. That's about the only way that she's getting any.

The only time I've watched SNL the past 10 years was if i was suffering from insomnia on a Saturday night and needed a sure way to fall asleep.

Every single SNL thread devolves into a bunch of posters bitching about political persuasion of the show and saying the show sucks.

Those criticisms might be valid but why do y'all care enough to jump in every snl thread with same shite?

Because that’s all SNL is these days. A partisan unfunny shitshow that lectures to the middle of the country how they’re smarter and better than the mouth breathers in the middle of the country.

Last year in a sketch preceding the Derrick Chauvin verdict, Kenan Thompson winked at the camera that if Chauvin is not convicted of murder that it’s ok to go burn down your neighbors business because they have insurance. So even if you have done absolutely nothing wrong, you deserve to have your business burnt to the ground and your income for months destroyed since you have insurance. Meanwhile Kenan will sit in his Manhattan high rise drinking expensive wine, look down on the peasants starving, and not give one shite. If you can’t see how unbelievably vile that is, I don’t know what to tell you.

Let’s say for the sake of here that I agree with everything you said. And we’ve both been on this board since years ago way back when it was fun and political shitposting didn’t have to filter into every single board on this site and I generally enjoy your posts on here.

My question is—why is it necessary to come into every thread about snl and drop these same takes? I don’t read or post nearly as much as I used to but I’ve seen your Aidy Bryant take at least three times. I thought we generally posted in threads about shows or movies that interest us and ignored threads about the ones that didn’t.

Likewise.

Because they make it all about that. I’ll grant you that you have a point on me beating Aidy like a dead horse since it is more to do with her other show than anything she’s done on SNL, but other than that they make it almost impossible to ignore. SNL was not like this when say Bill Hader and Jason Sedekis were on the cast.

A lot of us remembered television without the political correct BS. There was still bias, but it wasn't as condesending.

SNL was great in the 80s, pretty good in the 90s. And I loved it. It was special.

I will never forget when the show went on after 9-11. With P.Simon singing the Boxer. NYPD / Fire Dept on stage with him and the Mayor. SNL, back in those days, was one show that all of America would watch. They earned alot of respect from me that night.

A lot of the reason I still check these threads is because "Everything Woke turns to Sh1t". I believe that statement is fact. Unequivical.
But, I always hold to hope that what once was good, can be again.

At least he didn't assemble his SNL fantasy cast like usual
