SNL cast member Pete Davidson to lead all-star cast in "It's a Wonderful Life"

He will be playing George Bailey, the iconic character made famous by Jimmy Stewart in the 1946 original film. For those of you freaking out right now, it's not a remake. It's a table read of the script that will be broadcast for charity. But still...Pete Davidson isn't the man I picture when I think of who could play George Bailey in remake, play, or table read.

I don’t know. Davidson, in real life, has been open about his chronic, debilitating depression.

Yeah, kind of hard to make fun of him for putting himself out there for ridicule to raise money for charity.

Proof you can have a career in show business despite having no talent, charisma, or even basic likeability.

I mean...Pete Davidson doing a table read of It's a Wonderful Life as ANYONE is poor casting. I could maybe see him as Mr. Gower, the drunken pharmacist, but that's about it.

He has to have some charisma and likeability. Have you seen the roster of women he has been with?

"All right guys, we have decided to move forward on the "Its a Wonderful Life" remake. Obviously Jimmy Stewart was the lead in the original, so those are some legendary big shoes to fill. Who do we have in 2020 that can do this role justice? Hanks? Bale? Dicaprio? Gyllenhaal?"
"Nah, we got Pete Davidson."
"Nah, we got Pete Davidson."

Movie ends when Pete Davidson says he wishes he had never been born and everyone agrees.

I didn't know George Bailey was a stoner drug addict?

I think he still does if I’m not mistaken.

I was talking about the adult George Bailey.

Married with Children did it better.

Every now and then you post a gem. This is one of those times.

Maybe they’ll do a retcon and he’ll actually jump off the bridge and kill himself

Some women like novelty as much as they like attractiveness or money.

It's the closest they'll get to sex with an interplanetary alien.
