At worst, Disney can be accused of laziness in “re-naming” Slave 1, but they didn’t just pull it out of their asses. The slave 1 is literally a Firespray-31-Class Patrol and Attack Prototype.
Umm...that is still stupid.

This is like renaming the Millenium Falcon the Corellian because some people are offended by the word “falcon”.

I mean, it’s a Corellian light freighter. Everyone should just accept it.

A little off topic, but as a kid, I always thought it was Slave - "eye".

Same, but I’m unfortunately thinking my curiosity in Lord of the Rings may get the best of me. I know that will happen with Netflix’s Avatar since I watched Shyamalan’s abortion a decade ago.

That and they think slave only applies to minorities when we’re pretty unique when it comes to that type of slavery.

Oh yeah, I'm going to purposefully miss Avatar too.

And that's terrible, because I've watched the animated series multiple times, and even got my wife to watch it with my son and I on a rewatch last year and she loved it too. but you know it's going to be steaming pile of shite when the first things you hear about the production are the various boxes they are checking in regards to diversity and inclusion.

But after seen what went down with the Tolkien society get together there's just no way this is not going to mirror that in some way at this point.

Basically what I'm saying is that you've gotten me interested in hurrying to buy physical copies of things ASAP.

They’re giving this franchise a shite ton of cash on two fronts. First with Netflix with the first season being rumored at 200 million dollars, and secondly with Paramount which has kept the animation rights and their writers. They said they were doing Avatar movies, which I assumed would just be stuff like finding Zuko’s mom or small Avatar stories outside of the ones we know. Apparently Paramount has given Mike and Bryan hundreds of millions of dollars for theatrical releases of individual digitally animated Avatar movies. They’re going all out, and I just hope Mike and Bryan don’t go full Woke in their movies, since unlike Lord of the Rings, I think that franchise can be ruined for me.

Dont worry, you soon wont care anymore. Disney will completely ruin all of your favorite franchises, which means you can move on from pop culture and get new hobbies

You mean the series set around Asia and it’s different subcultures and had a bisexual protagonist?

Absolutely. It makes sense that China is attacking our pop culture icons. To many foreigners, this is what defines America and thus, they think that destroying it destroys us. In truth, it's not what defines us. As obsessed as we collectively are with pop culture (which is really just something that is driven by media, for media), it's not the essence of who we are. Maybe unplugging from media is long overdue.

Also, Disney fricks kids. They should have renamed it The Pederaston Martin.

Firespray

The Firespray manufacturer designation has been around for probably 20 years, but this specific move is retarded.

Leftists are truly parasites.

They never create anything meaningful on their own, they simply attack the host, suck all of the life out of it, then move on, leaving the husk to wither in the setting sun.

this isn't really unique to Disney or even liberals. Different translations of the bible all but removed the word "slave" from the New Testament and changed it to "servant" or "bond-servant".

The official Databank entry still calls it the Slave 1.

Ive said it before, but its likely it will be referred to as a “Firespray” by others in the upcoming show, because that is what it is. The Razorcrest is called that because it is a Razorcrest starship, that isn’t a unique name given to it. So strangers still call it a Razorcrest.

The same will likely happen to Slave 1, simply because people would know the model before the ship’s unique name.

Yes, it's all just a coincidence they're going to avoid calling the ship its actual name.

It's also just random they're giving Boba Fett a sister and has nothing to do with trying to make star wars appeal to girls more.

Omega? I don’t get that vibe from her at all. All she wants to do is be part of the Bad Batch. Pretty much copies those clones. Does nothing “girly.” Im sure they wanted to pad the show out a bit for diversity, and they could have just added a regular female citizen or something but that would have less interesting background.

Boba’s “sister” is just another genetic experiment, along with his millions of “brothers.”

Its another typical Hollywood modern era trope where they like to make women act like men. Her not doing feminine things is the entire point.

You really don't see how this fits into the transgender/feminist narrative?

Literally nothing that industry does is done for no reason. Every detail relates to their political beliefs/narratives/agenda.

A male's DNA that somehow ends up spawning a female clone that displays masculine characteristics is perfectly suited for the transgender activists. If you think this isn't purposeful then you are incredibly naive.
