Dang, hate to hear that. haven't gotten to the last episode yet but the show has been a little disappointing. The acting overall has been especially bad. I like Rebecca Ferguson and her acting in general has been fine, but her American accent isn't the best. I don't know if they are trying to make her sound country or what, but it's odd.

Hope none involved have any connections to Jar Jar Abrams. The mystery box crap needs to go extinct.

* how are the three people who still get sucked into that mystery box nonsense?

For some reason I still watched the new episode …

ZzzzzzZzzzzzz

Common is maybe the worst actor I’ve ever seen.

Tried to watch it as well. Got to the midpoint and decided to go fold some laundry. Or put away the dishes. Something more exciting.

I am still giving this a chance, but it’s clear that these writers and directors don’t understand how to do episodic stories.

The one thing I’m starting to notice more and more these days is how some people can / can’t write for tv. When someone can do it well, holy shite it makes an impact.

It seems to me this show is just setting everything up for future seasons - like Yellowjackets did. It’s just so dumb to me that they expect everyone to tune in a year later; just complete the darn story. I love the premise of this but I’d be shocked if we see the outside this season .

In the last 2 episodes I'm getting vibes that it's not going to be renewed. Which dulls my enthusiasm further.

If Apple renewed Foundation for a second season they have to renew Silo.

This show gives me Tales from the Loop vibes. Really cool premise but falls a bit short. Even with good actors/ character. Common not included. (Who I don’t hate as much as some, it seems)

Basically every episode of this series has lost momentum. It has become a mystery about the meaning of Pez dispensers.

Stuff actually happens on Foundation and although the writing on it isn't great, the acting is much better.

And the Foundation writers actually engage with the premise of the show on a regular basis. Not the case with Silo

Which is absurd when you consider the source material. Common is on the same level as Gaal and Hardin.

I still like it so far but feel you’re correct about it being slow.

Feel like the story is good though and do want to see the outcome.

This book series is one of my favorites, and these writers have managed to completely f up what could have been a fantastic series. I was so looking forward to this and am really disappointed.

“It has been enormously fulfilling to see the engrossing, atmospheric and beautifully crafted sci-fi epic ‘Silo’ quickly become Apple’s number one drama series,” said Matt Cherniss, head of programming for Apple TV+. “As audiences around the world have become gripped by the mysteries and conspiracies buried within this fascinating subterranean world, viewership only continues to climb, and we are so excited for more secrets of the silo to be revealed in season two.”

Anyone else have issues with Apple + freezing up and losing audio more than any other streaming service?

I run a fire cube through my receiver into the tv. I find that Apple+ has the best audio and one of the easier GUI to deal with.

Foundation was the biggest abomination of a classic novel that I can recall. That is one of my favorite novels of all time (and I'm a huge fantasy/sci-fi guy). I gave up halfway through. I was so pumped for that show too. I wasn't invested in the Wheel of Time books like many but it was similar to how many WoT fans felt.

I just don't get so many show runners/writers these day. I mean they think they are smarter than the author. You have Isaac Asimov, one of the greatest authors of all time, with a series that lends itself to a crazy good TV adaption, yet the writers say "nah, I know how to tell a story better than isaac Asimov."

I'm an episode behind on Silo, but that last episode wasn't too bad. I feel like it could still end up being a halfway decent season.

Wtf. No they didn't. The biggest storyline of the show didn't even exist in the novels
