Like how they used Christianity as a taboo subject was hilarious.

The show is still great and good for several laughs.
I agree. It hardly ever gave me any huge laughs even when Erlich was there. I probably "died laughing" once or twice a season so far. Granted, it was usually at something Erlich did like saying "why bring sand to the beach when there's already pussy there."
But, it's still the same show to me with the witty writing and I still have the "ha" laugh out loud moments all throughout the show.

I don't know what people are bitching about.
I doubt anyone is bitching after that funny and clever ep. Nice to see them back on track. Hopefully they use this momentum to finish strong.

Also a funny moment, Richard and Jared doing a nerd dance and Lauri hearing it over speaker phone and saying:

Lori suffering from severe post partum depression was pretty funny

And taking MDMA for it. She had some great lines in that episode.

I loved it when he was talking about male prostitutes showing their junk because undercover cops can't do that, one of the last things he says kind of as the scene is cutting away is something along the lines of "... worst case, the john walks away with a free peek"
The little "throwaway" lines from Jared that give you a peek into the rough life he's obviously lived.

Lori and Jared have stepped it up some this season in Erlich's absence. Richard isn't going to be as entertaining the more effective and dynamic he becomes. The show seems lost on what to do with the Dinesh/Gilfoyle tandem, although this last episode was a good step.
Being Christian as the worst vice in the valley was a classic King of the Hill type satire on the current political state.
Jin Yiang, looking back, was always one step ahead of the rest of the incubator. He got one over on Bachman first (free rent). He got his app funded and a fairly generous acquisition offer (hotdog/not hotdog). Now, he's one step ahead of them again, off to China.

I am still wondering though, if there is maybe a 5% chance that Jin Yiang hadn't written that letter to Richard and left for China.
Richard talking about Jared finding someone to bash in Jin Yiang's head earlier in the episode, then the toss in I love you, in the letter that was written to Richard seems a lot more Jared than Jin Yiang.

This is a great point. I noted it in my mind when Richard asked Jared to hire someone to bash Jin Yang's head in, and Jared looked disturbed and said "I'll work on it" and nothing else was said, nothing taken back. Richard never told him it was a joke and Jared's facial expression was like something he had to do but didn't want to.
Very good chance Jared, as dark as he really is inside, called that hit. More than 5% IMO

The only hole in the “Jared offed Jian Yang” theory is that the Gay Christian guy agreed to be apart of Jian Yang’s New new internet.
If anyone could explain that away, I’d believe Jared “took care of” Jian Yang.

I thought Richard asked Jared to bash Jian Yang's head in AFTER the Christian Gay guy told Richard he was joining the new new internet

Richard asking jared was definitely before the Christian Mingle guy left them. Because Richard and Jared's seen in the car garage drove several other plot points, towing company to big head, big head still having a partnership with Ehrlich. That took several scenes to develop so it was very early on in the episode. Christian mingle was like the second to the last thing.
Well, the Christian Mingle guy said he was joining one of Richard's competitors, I know the show danced around Jian Yang being a competitor, with new new internet, but Christian mingle joining one of Richards competitors could have been a lot of different things, and another thing they didn't tie down directly by naming it and leaving it ambiguous.

I would almost want to see an entire episode dedicated to exploring Jared’s dark past.

There was that and he told Jared to “deal with him.” Those two combined give some credence to the idea that Jared took a hit out on him.
