I think the writers (wrongly) think that comedy can only come from failure again and again and then have them somehow win in the end.
Comedy can come from these guys being on top and all the shite they would need to deal with. I'm pretty sick of constant failure. It's depressing.

I have faith that Mike Judge will find a way to keep the show interesting while getting out of this "Oh they failed but here's this loophole where they will actually come out alright!" phase.

I think they are going to score a success on the guy dying/not dying in the ravine. I actually thought liked the Schrodinger's cats part as well as Jared once again breaking out a Nazism. Nice recall to the sleep Nazi earlier.

Obviously the ravine will show how flawless their system is.
I don't see how that helps since they are going to lose in arbitration.
I just don't have a lot of faith that everyone in the business will be blown away by the system, then they lose the arbitration and the plug gets pulled on the cam, fade to black, season over.

They can still win the arbitration, the judge could just say what Richard did on the Hooli computer wasn't significant enough.

Definitely think the Condor Cam is the obvious win. The rest of your post sounds likely too.
This episode sucked except for a coupe lines. "So when you said your girlfriend shite the bed..."
I mean seriously, Erlich somehow blurts out the laptop being down for 3 days from some questioning? That was so weak and sadly, par for the course with this show lately. Lose, lose, lose, and then finally there will be a win at the end of the season...followed by some sort of lose to set up next season. This show has been hilarious but it's getting a little stale with the same shite.

Is there any doubt? Since Richard completed the test during his lunch hour, Pied Piper will win the arbitration in some way.
I thought it was a good episode but they really need to dial back the "lose-lose-lose-win" next year. Yeah, I love a good, compelling plot but now its starting to take away from the characters.
Erlich standing up and saying "I'm the girlfriend! Richard hit it so hard I had to go to the Dr.!"
Even a "filler" episode like that is better than most other comedies on TV, so I'm going to enjoy it.

This is it. After watching the teaser for next week's episode, some of that looked obvious.
And while this shows formula is becoming frustrating, it's still probably the funniest show on tv right now. Last night was a bad one for the guys, so I expect the finale to end on a high note.
I am curious to see what happens with the phone. That is the only thing Richard had over Gavin. That system is screwed without his algorithm.

I liked it too. They've gone with this rubric for a few episodes, having Gilfoyle, Dinesh, and Jared's story for the episode revolve around one idea: SWOT analysis, outed by wifi, Schrodinger's cat, etc. and it's always the best part.

Yep, the filler stuff is better than plot. Definitely some of the best comedy on TV.
