This has to be the most petty f'ing shite I've heard in my life.

https://www.foxbusiness.com/media/shonda-rhimes-disneyland-passes-left-abc-for-netflix

Cliffs: She had 1 all inclusive Disneyland pass as part of her contract. She requested a 2nd for her nanny, they agreed. She then requested a 3rd for her sister and after some resistance they ultimately gave it to her. However she was pissed about it taking so long and called an exec who said

"Don't you have enough?"

quote:

Rhimes said after the encounter she immediately called her lawyers and told them to "figure out a way" to move her to Netflix because she was done.

quote:

In total, Rhimes earned over $2 billion for Disney but an alleged encounter with a TV exec over Disneyland passes was the last straw for the producer.

Why the hell does someone who has 2 billion dollar give a damn about f'ing free park passes anyway? And the topper is they ultimately agreed to her demands each time, but she just didn't think they were enthusiastic enough about it.

Ah yes, but even still, the woman is worth tens of millions of dollars by this point. How does it even occur to someone that wealthy to be making phone calls trying to scrounge up extra free Disneyland passes. It's just madness.

Why the hell would a company that's worth way more than that give a damn about free park passes?

She didn't. You left out the parts of the story about how much she hated ABC due to being overworked and being stuck in the limited creativity of network television. If your foxbusiness article doesn't mention that stuff, then you read a crummy article, because every other piece about this story does. She found a more lucrative deal. Would you not take more money when more money is offered?

Also, has anyone ever thought of not Googling "shite I definitely don't care about but will pretend to do so anyway"?

If someone made my company 2 billion dollars I’d give her as many free passes as she wanted.

She clearly wasn’t happy there, used the exec being rude as the reason to get out.

She is going to make bank at Netflix.

I wish that she'd leave the country. Grey's Anatomy is one of the worst tv shows I've ever tried to watch. I'll never understand how it has been on tv for, what seems like, 47 years.

shite. I watched it for a few seasons when it started. It should've been taken out back and shot about 10 seasons ago.

Oh agreed her shows are all absolutely awful, but she's done extremely well for herself with that trash.

I just couldn't get over the sheer pettiness of a multimillionaire demanding a few hundred bucks worth of comps and then throwing a fit when the request wasn't fulfilled with the eagerness she wanted.

Nobody has any idea who this is. And how did she earn 2 billion dollars for Disney all by herself.

Did she personally buy the Star Wars franchise and gifted it to Disney?

If she disappeared tomorrow, neither Netflix or ABC would notice any difference to their bottom lines.

She created the two biggest dramas ABC has had in the last decade. Greys Anatomy has been on longer than ER was and it's still their top rated drama.

Disney also gives these passes out to literally everyone. I have a few buddies that work pretty low end production for ESPN, and they each have free passes.

It is pretty nickel and dime to not just agree to however many passes she wants. When somebody makes you that much money and they ask for one pass, you offer them 10 so they can bring the whole family. Let’s you know a lot about how Disney treats employees without a name like hers...

Can you not see the equal level of pettiness on a multi-billion dollar company doing the same?

Whether you like her TV is irrelevant when you consider she has been a cash cow for ABC. I am guessing she has produced over 50 seasons of TV for them.
