HIMYM is like 10 times the show BBT has ever thought about being. To each his own and all that..but it's baffling to me that you would see BBT through to the end and not HIMYM.

It baffles me too. I think they annoy me the same I just have more tolerance now for some reason.

The Raj and Howard band episode was awful. The Thor and Dr. Jones song made me want to gouge my eyes out. But I'm committed to seeing where it goes.

I watched it and enjoyed it for several years (which is more than I can say about a lot of shows - usually a year or two is my limit unless it's one of my favorites like Battlestar Galactica, Mad Men, GoT, etc.)
But yeah, the last couple of years have definitely gone downhill. I haven't watched much at all last year or this.
I do agree with the poster above - I'd like to see Sheldon enjoy it so much he becomes kind of sex crazed and starts hitting on tons of (hopefully fine) women.

BBT was one of my favorite shows but the last 2-3 seasons have been awful.
Penny was best in the 1st season when she was the sweet innocent girl next door, and not the mean bitchy bitch face girl.
Wolowitz was best when he was a single man looking for arse. Bernadette was a good character but now that he is married his character is no longer funny.
Raj was best when he was awkward and a bit shy/quiet, but now he is a flamboyant annoying nut job.
Leonard is best when he is in alpha mode. When he is a beta he is nothing but a boring miserable cuck.
Sheldon and Amy are the only 2 good characters left.

Makes perfect sense. It's the shortest "30 minute" sitcom in the history of TV at about 12 minutes. 18 minutes of commercials. Wonder how they'll fill the other 10 minutes? They need to announce what we all want, the date of when Penny and Sheldon's sister have lesbian sex.

No, I don't. The stories are told in COMPLETELY different styles, really their only big comparison is it's a group of single friends in new york.

I'll keep watching. I get an occasional chuckle. Penny/Kaley getting a haircut did not help AT ALL.
Their marriage was not sappy enough. Two of the four guys are in relationships that can't end or it will end the show. Raj character was so pathetic that even if they did split him up as well it would be almost mean.

I watched the first couple seasons and then caught a new episode on TV I'm pretty sure they are just recycling jokes at this point.
