I don’t think so. Seemed like her intent was to poison all of her daughters.

Did the book explain how Amma and her band of roller skate psychos move Natalie Keen’s body? Or where they kept the body in the interim?

Also, why Amma as the “woman in white” lured Natalie into the woods so that she could kill her..back at Natalie’s own house?

Amy Adams needs me to give her the sexual treatment she so obviously deserves. 2 minutes of pleasure she'd never forget.

went back and paused it. It read "Call Mom."
Any idea why it was zeroed in on and Camille had such an odd reaction??

I'm not sure if she was just imagining it all as a reaction to the way Amma was treating her new-ish friend, making fun of her and calling her a "kiss-arse" at the dinner table. I think it's meant to show that she was beginning to realize something else was up with Amma and that this girl was in danger.
There were also other things written on the girls fingers / knuckles. It was hard to make out but I thought I saw something that looked like "Sonic."

as expected, the show was going to be garbage.
i havent watched every hbo show, but i've watched a large portion of them, and that was the worst one yet.
how gillian flynn is a successful writer ill never know. what a horrible story, from start to finish.
it became laughable at the end. why not just have blue bottle with a sticker that reads "poison: on it, I mean that was like something out of a cartoon.
she writes these stories and expects everybody to believe that stuff like this happens. and people obviously do believe in this dream world story and are fine with a "gotcha" moment/twist/ending to show how much smarter she is than you.
7 hours and 30 minutes of nothing until parts finally start to unravel, ugh, that was painful to watch. it was a nice put me to sleep its so boring show so I was thankful for that.

I wonder what the total bill was for all the Zeppelin music in this series. From my understanding Zeppelin is some of the most expensive music to license.

Spotify had an official playlist from the show and I counted 5 Led Zeppelin songs from that.

Just rewatched and it seems fairly clear that it was just Amma and her two friends pulling off the murders. That being said, I kind of find it more intriguing with more involved.

This was all about the sins of the mother begetting sins of the daughters.
Adoras mother used to pinch her in the middle of the night and wake her up in pain and would drive her out into the woods and leave her there at night.
Adora developed munchausens by proxy from a need for people to pay attention to and care about her
Camille and her sister’s issues are obvious as a result of Adoras abuse. What’s notable is Camille broke the cycle by harming herself and not others
Amma kind of went the opposite direction of Camille and harmed those who got the attention she wanted.

It was just a little hard for me to digest that not only did this quiet little town have a girl die mysteriously (poison) with no apparent investigation, another young girl gang raped, a crazy arse mother who was poisoning multiple girls, a psychopathic teen killer, but there were at least 2 more girls who said "oh you want to murder some girls and yank their teeth out with pliers? Sounds fun let's do it". I thought this show would be disturbing because of it's realism but it ended up being a rural version of Sin City.

Yeah but that wasn't really a great explanation of how everything happened
Seems like thats kind of her m.o.
Just surprise you and not expect you to question anything. The shock factor was nice but the whole series expected you to believe the ridiculousness of a story that was trying to be realistic but wasnt at all.
Just a non hater, honest question: Was Adora being charged with the murder of the girls or just attempted murder of Camille and Amma?

Ashley had to have been involved as well, at least with Natalie's murder

I was wondering the same thing. Lots of details have been left out because you know...whatever.

Camille’s sister wasn’t questioned because everyone just assumed she died from being sick for so long (the nurse that suspected Adora got fired from the hospital likely because Adora had her fired).
Camille’s gang rape in the woods was talked about as a typical experience. I don’t think anyone but her, the boys, and her black friend from the cheerleading squad even knew. It was seen as the “we’re on the football team and she’s a cheerleader in the woods asking for it” scenario
The murder of the 2 girls was being investigated and stirred up the town so it’s not like it was glossed over. And there ended up being a pretty common theme to all of them (Camille’s family) but it was pointed out multiple times that the reason bad things kept happening were because nobody in the town (especially the sheriff) wanted to believe that someone in their town could and would do those things; they tried to blame drifters and Mexicans and the older brother whose family had just moved there from Philly
