Wendy’s brother Ben is an atrocious character.
I’m through episode 8.

ETA: finished the season. It finished strongly. I wasn’t saying the actor playing Ben was bad. I was saying the character is fricking awful. A bipolar brother we didn’t know about shows up and fricks everything up. Corny as hell. Then he can’t simply stay in the car with Wendy? Nobody is that retarded. Calling the cartel lawyer after getting in trouble for not being quiet? So fricking dumb. Writing this season until the last 2 episodes was horrible.

I got bored with most of it I just feel like the story just gets old and is the same stuff over and over again but the last couple episodes were incredible

Not really. There are only 3 seasons, so the odds are that people will either think it’s the best or that it’s the worst. There aren’t many options to choose from here

I'm a major critic of this show, but season 3 is by far the best. The guy that plays the brother should win an award for his range of acting, despite the show's flaws.

Show is good. But very overhyped. Not in my top 15 all time

Well we dont have to rank them. My point is that Im not seeing many people say that they liked one of the first 2 seasons better while also still saying they liked seasom 3. They either love it or hate it. I havent seen much middle ground.

It's just too much, too fast, and too often. Every single episode is a new problem that is going to kill everyone. They always fix it and wrap it up in a nice little bow every episode. Rinse and repeat.

It's just instant gratification over and over. A good story slows it down. It requires you to have a bit of patience, and rewards you for it.

There are no rewards here, because you have won every single episode.

I dont disagree with you at all. Very good synopsis of it.

For example, I personally hated how Charlotte was a young brat in the first 2 seasons (albeit if it was real life she has every right to act that way), but she turned a corner. Its something I hated, but I put that aspect of season 2 to the side.
I thought there was a clear shift of loyalty to certain parties in season 3 that will lead to an interesting season 4. The whole Ben thing is certainly something I understand that is fair to complain about, but it bottom line shows how far the Byrds are willing to go to support their immediate families safety.

I have a buddy who said he wont watch season 4 now after seeing season 3. And I just dont think you can compare this to the greatest show of recent memory (breaking bad). You take Ozark for what it is and enjoy what it is.

This is what has become tiring for me. I'm no longer on the edge of my seat worried about what will happen "to the family" from the cartel or Snell or the FBI. And it became tiring for me during S3. My type of response gets a lot of downvotes. But for those who downvote, know the show is losing fans who were as dedicated as you. It used to be my favorite Netflix show. I'm glad I'm not the only one to feel this way.

And the resurrection of the failed Marty/Wendy marriage is almost more than I can handle. I just don't like Wendy at all. And I waited almost two years for S3. That's too long. Recently I looked at a tabulation of viewers for Netflix shows. Tiger King had nearly 70 million. Sex Education had in the 40s. Ozark was in the high 20s.

Tie with season 1

The size of the casino boat was enough to make 2 laughable, although I still enjoyed it

I felt the same way until mid way through episode 5 of S3. The last half of the series is unreal.

Do you mean you just hated the character or that the actor did a poor job?

Couldn't disagree more strongly. Season 3 was kick arse. A nice return to form.
