So, to recap... my scathing remark about Scrubs 2026 was
But good on them for another season. Love that cast
Damn. I'm a monster!.

I would consider coming into a thread to announce that you have not and will not watch the show to be narcissistic spamming but

Well, you're wrong. If I hadn't watched ANY of the original show , maybe. But I have. So there goes your theory right out the window.

The fact that you have watched the original and say you loved it and then followed it up with I have no interest in this show now is why we are making fun of you.

I just don’t get it, as a fan how you wouldn’t be stoked about seeing your favorite characters again. Especially with how good the first episode is to hook you in. It’s nice to see them grow and age with us as a viewer.

This isn't like me not wanting to watch Star Trek TMP after 10 years of the series being cancelled. It's been 16 years! And S9 was fairly entertaining (imo) but it had lost the soul of the first 8 seasons.
Those and others are my reasons. Maybe if you like the 2026 version, you'd sell it to someone who did like the original series, but doesn't seem like that's gonna happen.
It'll be interesting to see what the viewing numbers are for this latest season.
Anyway, I'm done here.

I said I was going but this is what I was asking for, so yeah... maybe?

because season 9 was a spinoff and not a part of the original show. This is a revival and a part of the original show

it was the number 1 scripted show on ABC this year and the number 2 18-49 demo rated show on all of abc only behind dancing with the stars

That just makes me happy that it is following the old serial tv format.
All the series on streaming (which is all Lawrence has been doing lately) have been season, 2-3 year gap, another season, lather, rinse, repeat.
It's such a terrible way to do TV because even if you are devout enough to the show to remember the main plot, you forget all of ancillary details about characters.

As one who has the soundtrack of the original show in my playlist, I have zero interest in this show.

I want a full season (20+ episodes).

I think those days are over
And that is probably a good thing
Modern writers can't even write 8 episode seasons without filler episodes
It's not just brutal on the writers; the actors too. I've known some castings that fell through because the actors just couldn't handle the grind.
I'm not saying the cast here can't (goodness knows they did it amazingly back in the day), but I'm okay not asking that of them as much as I would love to get more content from them.

Right... IIRC, it only had the original cast to spin up the new cast. I think they were only going to be there for a season, but it fell apart because there just wasn't the same quality... or chemistry, honestly.

Not my order and why not wait a few more days?
