Right... IIRC, it only had the original cast to spin up the new cast. I think they were only going to be there for a season, but it fell apart because there just wasn't the same quality... or chemistry, honestly.
Correct. I think JD was only in half of the episodes that season.
"Shifting Gears" has reportedly been handed another short order for Season 3, though an exact episode count has not been disclosed. (Season 1 ran 10 episodes, while Season 2 expanded to 13
This can't be good news for Scrubs. 13 might be the best bet for season 2. While Abbott Elementary (which get less viewership than both shows will get a full 22 episodes

It’s pretty soulless
Finally someone else agrees that the new scrubs has no substance at all. The new characters are devoid of any real substance and are essentially soulless caricatures. I really liked the first 2 episodes and it took an immediate fricking nosedive into contrived and trite. Dr Cox was the missing piece that holds this sorry excuse for a show together.

Abbott Elementary is also painfully unfunny
And that's the God's honest truth. That show is only a thing because the little, Black Hobbit female lead is also a writer. ABC wanted to check ALL the DEI boxes they could with that one.

Excellent song. I also have Hold on Hope by Guided Voices on my playlist too from Scrubs.

This is the correct answer.
Everybody's Changing by Keane from My Day at the Races is probably my favorite, but because it has a very personal connection.
When we started dating, my wife was a big fan of the show. I watched the first season, but didn't really follow on after that. Once the show got in syndication, my wife (GF at the time) asked me to watch whatever episode was on that night at 7pm on Comedy Central. She wanted me to call her and we'd watch the episode on the phone together. My Day at the Races was the one that came on, and as the relationship progressed, I looked back on that one, especially the song, fondly.
Scrubs became a favorite of ours and we finished the series together as the subsequent seasons aired.

It's on the mount rushmore of revivals. You couldn't be more wrong. Let me know the shows you watch so I could write them down and make sure I never watch them.

great song.
However, ABC passing on comedy Do You Want Kids? and again ordering short seasons of Shifting Gears and Scrubs is a sign that ABC may be content with the amount of scripted programming they currently have
Son of a bitch. Makes zero sense you have the number 1 scripted program on ABC and once again order a short season when you give abbott Elementary a full 22 episodes. I would be happy with 16 to 18 episodes a season. 10 is a slap in the face and makes you rush the whole season and won't allow you to bring anyone back. Why even renew it if you're gonna have it a half season.

The Hank Hill profile pic is ironic, since KOTH is a great revival too.

The only bigger affront was NBC cancelling Stumble, the collegiate competitive cheerleading show that was easily the most laugh-out-loud funny show on television.

Only getting 10 episodes, but they'll air in Fall 2026.
