Saw Karate Kid Legends last night. Cheesy but in a good way.

Although when mom said win, I started saying Yo, ADRIENNE!!!!

The actress playing the girlfriend did a good job and Tiger Mom had her role down pat although it was a little clicheish.

I saw it over the weekend as well.

I've been telling everyone that it is not possible to spoil this movie. You already know exactly what is going to happen before you sit down

In a world where cobra Kai exists, this should have been a Netflix movie rather than a Sony/Columbia theatrical release.

The Johnny Lawrence stinger about Miyagi Dough made me laugh though.

How does this movie compare to the Cobra Kai series? Similar? Better? Worse?

It's really not comparable to cobra Kai other than it existing in the karate kid universe.

Not as humor driven, not built on nostalgia.

It's closer to never back down as a comp.

Damn. That is disappointing. I would have loved it to be some side quest spin-off of Cobra Kai. They could have even pulled in Johnny as a big character too.

The thing it...its not Karate, that what I can't get on board with. Its Kung Fu two different genre. For those that don't understand, you can compare it to the lefty loonies saying that there is no biological difference between men and women in sports. Likewise, for the leftist, a good example is if someone misgender your preferred pronouns.

Kung Fu and Karate is as different as day and night. Cobra Kai was Karate.

This. I’ll watch it no doubt, but I’m not going to a movie theatre for it.

Saw it today. It is next level cheesy. The kid gets his arse kicked by a high schooler then turns around and demolishes 3 grown men in an alley . Jackie Chan holds a special place in my heart, I grew up on his movies which is why I saw it, but I wish I would have seen Friendship or Bring Her Back instead. Wait for this one on streaming

If ya put the movie in the karate kid universe and take Cobra Kai out the equation it’s basically an extension of the karate kid movies as far as cheese and predictability. It’s a fun turn your mind off and watch a flick. Agree probably best for Netflix and streaming . I enjoyed the heck out of Joshua Jackson’s character
