Dude, you don't actually believe Superman and Batman are going to fight do you?

Yes they fought in DKR, but let me give you a lesson that I got from Robert Kirkman, creator of TWD. He said there was a certain thing that he did to Rick in the comic that he was not going to do on the show because it would be physically impossible in real life to show on screen. He said it was possible in the comic because he can go from one panel to the next without explaining the transition no matter how impossible it might be in reality.

Well we are done with announcements. I'm sure we'll get back on track tomorrow.

This board needs a 60-page thread. So have at it!

You are not worth addressing because you clearly have a Marvel bias. It's more obvious than any I've seen before. Is there a comic book movie you do like?

Again, really?

Just because someone does not like one movie does not mean they have Marvel bias. That's knee jerk and it continues to devolve the conversation on both sides.

I liked Dark Knight but mainly due to Ledger. I liked the whole tone of the Nolan Batman trilogy but wasn't a fan of Bale as Batman, though I did like him as Wayne.

Green Lantern was just bad and it is hard to frick up Green Lantern.

I liked MoS fine though I wasn't excited about it going in. Thought it would be too dark for a Superman movie but was surprised.

I do like Marvel movies better in general, I think they just did a better job of moving them to film than DC has.

DC really has a lock on the animated movies though, they are really good stories and well done. The problem with DC moving to movies is that most of their icon characters are juggernaut characters with very limited villains that can do anything with them. I would love to see a Death of Superman movie with a great Doomsday/Superman fight scene but I don't think we will ever get it on film.

It's not that hard to have a bad movie, but it was bad.

If you liked MOS, you will like this. Have faith.

the ironic part of the whole "Marvel Bias" argument against me is that I owned way more DC comics than Marvel growing up but I think that Marvel has moved to film in a much more deliberate, thought out way that gives the universe more depth and makes people more attached to each movie. They are building a fan base through each movie they make.

I never said that I wouldn't. I was one of the ones defending Affleck as Batman early on. I just said I thought that the short snippet they showed looked shitty and cheaply done and I don't like the armor suit look of Batman. Batman to me was always the detective, they guy who took on the criminals daily and did so out of the shadows.

OK, that explains it. You don't like this take on Batman. I understand that. You will probably not like this movie.

It's pretty simple, IMO. If you like those movies, you will probably like SvB. If you don't, you won't.

No it's not, but there's only one way to do it: put far too much of your budget in unnecessary CGI and cast too many high-bill stars.

Green Lantern is horrible for many reasons. The actors and the CGI are the least of it's problems.

First

You're saying things WAY too definitively. 2 years. 2. Years.

We are less than a week away from GotG and have great reviews, and ANY FAN should still be worried that it doesn't live up to necessary commercial success, 170+ million budget and all.
