Old Yeller dying .... saw it at the drive in when it came out. Couldn’t help myself. Vowed to never watch a tear jerker again.

Marley and Me. Sat through 90 mins of a movie about a mans life over the time span of more than a decade and never realized what was about to happen to that dog. Never once crossed my mind until it happened.

Opening and closing scenes of Saving Private Ryan in the cemetery. He falls to his knees in the opening and then asks his wife if he's led a good life and if he's a good man in the closing. Kills me every time.

Then I feel even worse for thinking how nice his granddaughter in the lavender top's tits look. I'm going to hell.

I second Ole Yeller, when they had to put him down. Guess you have to be at least 50 to remember that one. If you are a dog lover check it out, it's a classic.

anything with an animal dying gets me.

Yep. Humans dying don't get to me.

Humans are usually walking consequences of their own shitty decisions or assumptions of risk (except for kids and elderly).

Animals, children, elderly - those who depend entirely on the trust they place on the rest of us to get by - are innocent and worthy of the empathy.

fricking Bing Bong.

Was not prepared for that. My daughter complained that I was squeezing her hand too tight because I was trying not to lose it in the middle of the theater

And, of course, the beginning of UP. Just a beautiful sequence. Gets me every time.

Finally watched Coco and had a legit tough time not crying, both as a Dad and as a guy who’s recently lost all grandparents.

Simultaneously hugging my daughters and pulling out pictures of deceased family

Great responses in this thread.

Another one that always gets me is when Jack Nicholson eulogizes Morgan Freeman at the end of The Bucket List.

I'm not a big fan of the movie overall, but the hospital room scene in Terms Of Endearment when she's telling her kids goodbye absolutely guts me.
