Could they make a Star Wars without a Mary Sue?
Doutbful.
Star Wars has gone all DC comics.
I'm pretty sure in the Solo movie, Han will get lost flying the Falcon and have to ask Emilia Clarke for directions.

quote:No. Their minds have been conditioned to believe that people get things (movie roles and director jobs, Super Bowl wins, etc.) because someone gave that to you. Merit is a foreign concept to them. All things are given out by an overlord force, which right now is giving out all of the good stuff to white guys.
if you are a member of this demographic, wouldn't you hop that people of your demographic are getting top positions because they are the best people for the job? Not just because they are a member of a minority demographic?
Well, Overlord Disney just did give out Star Wars to a bunch of victim SJW's like them, and guess what? It sucks. So no, I'd really prefer we not do that.

Women & People of Color Are Developing Star Wars Movies

This forced diversity is killing Star Wars.
Diversity is one thing. I never really looked back at the original trilogy with the intention to see how diverse it was. I do remember there being male, female, white and black characters in the OT. They've added Latino and Asian actors to the Prequels and the newest films. That's great, and they've found quality actors for the roles.
But, you can tell when they've shoehorned certain characters into the franchise, (Rose and Laura Dern's character come to mind), just to push narratives. We didn't need either of those two characters in TLJ.

has caused many fans to wonder when Lucasfilm will entrust a white woman, woman of color, or man of color with a Star Wars film.
“Fans” were not wondering this. Maybe some random sky screamers were wondering this on Twitter, but fans want good movies, not affirmative action. Biggest Star Wars nerd I know is a black guy and he gives no fricks about the color of the director. It’s pitiful. These SJWs just can’t stop destroying everything.

I couldn’t care less if a transgendered Martian made the next Star Wars movie as long as it was a quality film. Women, people of color, whoever and wherever you are, when you make your Star Wars films, please for the love of God make good movies. No matter who you are, you will be loved if you will just do that one simple thing.

The Last Jedi was so bad.....maybe they should go back to letting the nerds develop Star Wars.

TLJ is just oozing with self hatred. We're sorry about the cool hot shot ladies man pilot, sorry. look, he is sorry too. Sorry about capitalism, yup, our bad guys. Sorry about being white, look all the bad guys and people in the casino are white...i'm so, so, sooooo sorry.
We all have opinions...but I am glad I'm not alone in how I saw the film.
The casino scene was even more obvious than "Vice Admiral Gender Studies" (Laura Dern). I won't mention Rey bitching out a crotchety old Luke Skywalker or the fact that all the other guys seemed to be either deserters or hot heads.
Then there were other cringe-worthy scenes...like Leia just floating through space like Peter Pan. Not really an SJW thing but just an example of a horrible and poorly written plot point.
Just my opinion. I know TLJ is a controversial topic. I'm perfectly aware that I am not the insightful film buff or Star Wars fan some of you are.

Are any interested in doing so? Do they want to tell good stories?
If Antoine Fuqua wants to make a SW Bounty Hunter movie, I’ll be there to see it opening day.
I don’t care if Larry or Lana or whatever it calls itself Wachowski wants to make a Star Wars movie. If they want to tell a good story that’s not preaching some bullshite message to me, I don’t care what their political leanings are.

That's exactly the ones I was thinking of.

No fan is wondering this or wanting it. Load of crap.

I don't give a frick who makes the movies. It could be a yellow lesbian trans male squirrel. Just make a good movie.

Yeah, my wife couldn't stop laughing at his voice. It just didn't fit the visual of the character but it was great.
