It had been like 70 years. I think the statute of limitations had passed.

For the original theft, they could get her on possession. Crime is still ongoing. If she tried to sell it, she could also get charged with that.

The insurance agency still had on an ongoing attempt to recover it off the boat. It was known as lost. She would of had to go black market, which would make her an even worse person.

I could’ve built Noah’s Ark with the lounge chairs, life vests, tables and mattresses on that ship in that amount of time.

Celine's song wouldn't have been as much of a tear jerker.

This. She was slumming it and needed him gone before they got ashore. Rather than save him and then let him down easy, she allowed him to drown and denied him easily attainable assistance. She could/should have been charged with depraved indifference (depraved heart murder).

Was hoping he would tell her there wasn’t enough room on the ice lake when she fell through.

Life vest were hard to come by when everyone was just in the water but my question is this.Tell me that mofo playing that big arse CHELLO made it? I play with the band for a short while then it's like it's been real fellas but I gotta go. Jump in the water with chello for the life win.

She didn’t really steal it, Cal gave her the coat with the diamond in the pocket. For her to be charged with possession of stolen goods wouldn’t someone have to have reported it stolen? Assuming Cal filed an insurance claim, would he have reported it stolen? Presumably he assumes she’s dead and it went down with her. Also since this “theft” occurred in international waters who has jurisdiction? At worst the insurance company or whatever legacy companies could claim it was theirs and sue.

She didn’t return it to the rightful owners once she knew she had it, she did steal it. He hadn’t given it to her yet, so it wasn’t a gift at that point.

He would have reported it lost and got insurance on it. Which is why those people were hunting it. It would have been the rightful property of the insurance company.

Theft would have been covered by the jurisdiction in which the ship is registered to, so England.

Take a cruise and see how stealing shite works out for you in international waters....
