There are a bunch of people that only casually follow Stat Wars. They have no clue what this movie is about. Some even think it's Episode VIII.
My wife watched the last 30 minutes of Force Awakens with me last night. At the end of the movie, she says "Who is the old guy? Obi Wan Kenobi?"

Yeah they don't explain in the trailer where this movie fits in, but most of us already knew.

They have always done most of the filming in England too. Hell 3 of the major outdoor filming locations were in the British isles.

I knew this was coming since it was first announced and I find myself pretty annoyed about it. Not at Rogue One because it looks great, but that they forced a Death Star into Ep7 when they knew they had this coming just a year later.

So in the Star Wars future...
Is the Evil Empire supposed to represent America with the Death Star in these new movies...because all the bad guys are American and all the good guys are foreigners.
With England being the rebellion? Those plucky Brits.
I wouldn't put it past Hollywood to be making that statement...big bad global dominating America vs. old European guard.
