I wouldn't put it past Hollywood to be making that statement...big bad global dominating America vs. old European guard.
Some of you guys are like SJW constantly looking for something by which to be offended.
And for the record, people born in the Core world's of the Star Wars Universe have British accents. Those born in the outer regions have American accents. All that means is that Jyn is from the Core Worlds.
