I think its a damn good choice. He looks like Wayne, and definitely has the jaw for the cowl.
If anyone questions his talent then watch Cosmopolis, Maps to the Stars, The Lost City of Z, or Good Time. Dude can act and did the right thing by going all indie after Twilight to harnass a new image.
Only thing he needs to do is pack on some weight. He's 6'1 and about 170, but he needs to get over 200, which probably isnt hard for actors since he has months before shooting starts.

Nobody is questioning his talent, he just doesn’t have the look as Batman. Could probably be a pretty great robin though

What a lot of people don’t know is since Twilight, Pattinson has been in some movies where he’s performed well. Like almost every time Batman is cast, people will whine. But this is actually a great choice.

I wanted Armie Hammer. He had the perfect face, build and personality all in one package for Batman.
