If tweet fails to load, click here. This could be both a third Prometheus film and a sequel to Romulus. Seems to support the rumors about Fede Alverez quitting because of tension between him and Ridley over the use of David in the Romulus sequel.

Imagine to expect a Strong Female Lead.
As well.
As well.

I’m hoping Fassbender would be the lead. But it is Alien. It would be out of the ordinary to have a strong male lead.

"I did the best one [ALIEN] by far. Full stop. End of the f*cking story. Then they let it die. After the 4th they killed it. So I sat there thinking: "I’m gonna bring it back." So I sat down with very good writers and we’ve caught fire… and wrote ‘PROMETHEUS.’"

I'm a little confused here, what makes you think that? Didn't he say he's interested in exploring Fassbender more and bigger AI questions?
quote:Exactly. It's the same thing they did with Newt and I hated it then as well. We were emotionally invested in Shaw and then it felt flat and disappointing
This is exactly how I feel. I think the choice to kill Shaw offscreen led to a whole host of bad decisions in Covenant. It may be a fool’s hope, but I believe Ridley can right the ship if he lives long enough to make this.
Like, what is she going to find when they first lay eyes on the Engineers? How did we come to be? Do something interesting and terrifying with it. But we only get a sweeping shot wiping them out

Based on every other Alien movie having a strong female lead and reports that this will also be a sequel to Romulus, which would bring back Cailee Spainey. I wouldn’t be surprised if this was from her perspective and Fassbender plays a similar role as he did in Covenant. I would prefer an all David movie, but I didn’t hate Spainey in Romulus.
ETA: I didn’t see the rest of your post before I replied.
I’m a sucker for world building and with the threads he laid down in Prometheus, he should have given us some real answers and lore expansion in Covenant.

Prometheus was also overly serious and had too much Damon Lindelof style mystery writing for my taste.
These movies should be overly serious.

Spoiler
I liked the theory that Walter survived at the end of Covenant. Walter requested song Entry of the Gods in the opening scene. Last scene in the movie was Entry of the Gods. Why would David request the same song?

I dint like how they changed the xeno back story.
I liked the Predator version Alien back story from Dark Horse better.
