Loved Mr. Limpet.
In 1997 it was supposed to be remade with Jim Carey. They spent 10 mil per wiki before deciding the tech they were using sucked.
They are once again on track to remake this one.

This really is a forgotten gem.
Similar to the Deep Impact vs Armageddon studio battle.
I think this was a Conan clone.
Holy Crap. Just noticed that TVs Matt Houston played the lead role.
Swords.....sorcery......gore....a crucifixion (see Conan) and lots of nudity.
Awesome film....or so it was to the younger me.
