Especially when it's basically his fault.

Apparently, New Luke (Non Jesus Christ version) feels zero obligation to help clean up his own shite.

One of the big problems is that we have nothing to look forward to for the next film. There is no insurmountable evil that must be destroyed. There is no great confrontation to be had. Hell, the bad guy is someone we have mixed
feelings about as it was Luke's fault he went bad.

Its just like the end of a scooby doo episode. What will the ol gang get into next...no one is dying to see the next movie

if luke came to the island to die along with the last of the jedi, and he can die anytime he wants

why didn't he just kill himself? this movie is just so retarded.

No idea how Abrams cleans this shite up.

Yeah, I think Episode IX is going to spend some time walking back major plot points from this movie.

Snoke will either be back somehow or we will get an even bigger bad that was behind Snoke, Rey will probably have an actual "lineage" and stuff of that nature.

They can't make Kylo the big bad because Rey already owns him and they don't have the time in one movie for him to power up, humble Rey and have her bounce back. That should have happened in this movie, even if it steals from Empire.

There has to be a bigger threat. I don't see a way around it.

Johnson's dumb arse has even said Abrams may make it so that Kylo was wrong about Rey's parents. Cause once again nothing was planned.

Maybe they’ll introduce time travel and undo everything.

What are you talking about.

I was referring to you saying the greatest jedi ever and your dumb Jesus lines.

This is not about his power with the force or Jedi. (which sucked too)

It is about his character. He would not do these things if he never had any power at all.

I wish. It is that bad. Normally I am the one taking up for films. I did not think I could be turned. Good work Johnson.

I'm sorry. I can't. Luke was a whiny baby that had a small amount of training and last I saw him he barely got out of that throne room.

He tried his best to rebuild. It just didn't work out for him.

You do realize that even by the end of RotJ, he is "General Skywalker" and a Jedi Knight which is a promoted class of Jedi. Additionally, by that point, he has lead multiple Rebellion strikes on the Empire in large scale military combat.

Part of the trilogy is the growth of a "farmboy" into a Jedi Knight. He walked into a room with the Emperor and Vader and made it out alive. He was supposed to have grown from that whiny kid that he was...

And he did. Until Rian Johnson got ahold of him.

dude, you literally are the one who came in and started calling him Jesus and the greatest jedi ever as a straw man for the argument against why his character in TLJ doesn't fit into every other depiction of him

I think he saw it but decided the goofy fake version was more fun.

Can we also discuss how projecting himself killed Luke, yet Snoke was able to (multiple times) bridge Kylo and Rey’s minds and project them both to each other at the same time and be just fine?

I might be ok with this honestly...

However I'm not ok with his pull of Kylo while not anywhere in his vacinity. He did this before the Dradnought shows up so he was possibly in lightspeed or far, far away.

Again, they broke the rules for effect and nothing more.
