Rewatching lost, forgot how much I hate the Eko character.

Uninteresting character, boring storyline. The show is getting great now that they killed Anna Lucia, but now they're determined to interrupt the good stuff with Eko. Ready for him to die.
Any other examples of crappy characters where a show tried way too hard to shoe horn them in?

Eko was a great character with an interesting background. His transformation from drug thug to priest was very entertaining.

Not sure how that's considered "edgy".
Every other storyline at that point of the show was just way more interesting. The Eko storyline was just a total drag in comparison to everything else going on in the rest of the show.

I am a Lost fanatic and Eko was great. His character was good and he is a very good actor so I dont agree with your assessment.
Other great characters include John, Ben, Richard and Desmond
Bad ones are Shannon, Claire and Sun.
I really liked Ben. They did a great job evolving his charter through till the end. Desmond was my favorite . His story was excellent

I think it is well known that Michael was a POS. Same with Anna Lucia. Those are givens.
Clair was irritating AF. Though Shannon was fine as hell, she was just a wasted spot. Her character did nothing for the series.
The best two stories were Desmond and Richard. So many reasons for them to exist. Same with Ben Linus. Great story.
And Sonya Walger was so beautiful in this show. Made her nasty nude appearance in the HBO series, "Tell me you love me" just that much better.
