I really wanted to make this a show I loved to hate but I couldn't get past the ridiculous first episode.

Not to mention if all electricity was permanently disabled we would all die because electrical impulses operate our brains.

Yeah, it's getting better--Lapidus was a bonus too.

The "Militia" just doesn't seem big enough to be running the country. Seems like they are just a bunch of retards living in tents... but they alway mention that the militia controls everything.

I gave it a shot, but to Lost like and I will not waste another 5 years of my life!

I know. That's the last episode I will watch. It's just too stupid.

I'm back on the bandwagon. Not for last nights show, because it was an abomination, but because I just read the last two pages of the thread and the shite in the show is so ridiculous and so poorly thought-out, that these huge gaping holes will continue to drive this show into the ground and make me read this board and laugh about it.

It really is like the writers came up with the main premise and stopped thinking about it until the week they had to shoot the show and wrote some more.

Last night found me deleting the three previous episodes I still hadn't watched and deleting the show from my Series Manager on my DVR.

I liked the first episode decently enough, but it didn't hook me like I had hoped, so I just never really had a desire to keep watching. Sucks too because the premise is awesome. It's like Terra Nova, only I actually watched that one.

They don't. That question was answered on the last episode

Same here. Charlie is awful and every episode is her being overly emotional and making decisions that would get her and everyone killed. That is the entire plot driver.

It is poor man's Lost with it's cheap flash backs and unnecessary mysteries.

The character development is terrible...they tried to show Gus Fring getting fired by his boss who had his feet propped up reading his blackberry...so unbelievable. If you are going to take the time to show people's character do it right don't do it flippantly then expect us to buy into it.

What about the Google guy just playing with the necklace and leaving it on the table right by the prisoner? You have not had power in 15 years then something gives it to you and you treat it like that?! Just ridiculous.

exactly. the whole plot is being advanced by how stupid Charlie and other people are...along with how stupid the militia people are

I know; it's so stupid. I don't think he's even shown it to any of his current companions and he does this.

The whole we got to pull the bomb from the train seemed stupid to me too. That locomotive probably weights 100+tons and the most I think it could have done is incapacitate the train by damaging the boiler. While it would have been extremely unhealthy to be the engineer, I can't see how someone a couple of cars away could have been hurt. They were acting like they put a mini-nuke on there.

diesel isn't necessary.

Animal fat and corn oil can substitute.

I thought about this too; how are people not driving around crank start cars?

Well from what I have seen online. It's speculated that the earth no longer supports electronically charged items. If you were to right now take any electric motor and spin it, you would generate electricity. But in this world, magnets and copper spinning by each other no longer produce electricity. The is no ignition possible without this. So cars (needing spark plugs) are out.

But Diesel is okay, also in the 30's the French made coal powered cars. These could work here too.

It was stupid. The uncle threw the bomb just feet from the train and actually closer to the kid's car then it would have been had it gone off in the boiler.

This show is just plain sorry.

And like Terra Nova the villagers had a HORRIBLE fence that they kept OPEN. Although the Revolution fence didn't have nearly as many GAPING holes in it.

I didn't mind that

It was the part where they're trying to rescue those slaves and the girl is pinned down by some dude twice her size, only for her to throw him off of her and shoot him.
