WTF?

RC keeps using the term "coffee girl" when making this accusation. His accusation uses far more sexist language than did OM in his original point, where he never mentioned her sex at all.

Fetching coffee and having sex with powerful people is not a female only pastime in Hollywood, or anywhere for that matter. Inferring it had to be sexist to claim either is just looking to use that accusation in lieu of a counter argument.

Dr RC

You're a moron struggling to defend someone for no real reason, with an argument based on your own ignorance.

BTW, she seems to have a fetish for brunette British girls. That's all she seems to have cast as the lead in these horrible movies she "produced."

Saying that a woman must've slept her way into a job isn't sexist?

Good luck selling that to HR.

Story wise the Ox and Mac characters should have been either/or both of Short Round and Sallah
Never thought about that, but the Ox character 100% should have been Sallah. The actor is still alive and working too.

No it's not sexist. Here's a picture of a man who slept his way into a job:

Noticing a pattern here of projects under Kathleen where an iconic white male character is being replaced by a British woman.

I have to ask, what in the world did Lucas and Spielberg do to this woman?

Is it sexist to say a man slept his way into a job?

If the answer is yes, you're lying because there's no way you believe that. If the answer is no, you're declaring your own double standard.

RC wanted to accuse OM of being sexist, so he changed the term to "coffee girl" which only showed his own feelings towards women it would seem. He literally needed to alter the words used in order to make OM's point seem worse. Had OM wanted to make that point in that way, he'd have done so in his original post about her.

Not usually, because we live in a world of double-standards (which you know). You can attempt to break down sexism into a mathematical equation but that's not how it works in reality.

A white man claiming that he identifies as an African-American may be may be slightly more logical than a man identifying as a woman, but we all know that is not how current society works.

These "Ah ha!" catches are just meaningless internet fodder and have no bearing on how things really are.

The series doesn't exist beyond Last Crusade to me. Literally a perfect send off with him, his dad, Salah and Marcus riding off into the sunset. Nobody should play Indiana Jones except for Harrison Ford. This isn't James Bond.

Anyone that thinks Chris fricking Pratt should be Indiana Jones or anyone outside of Ford is a moron of epic proportions

Someone in another thread made a good point I thought. Instead of rebooting things that have already been done, how about Hollywood come up with some new ideas and material?

I agree 100%. Don't gender or race swap an established character like Indiana Jones or James Bond. If you want a female, or black, or gay character, then create a new one.

I tend to agree

You can have a treasure sealing/archeologist character that goes on adventures and it would be fun.

They’re making an Uncharted movie that’s is hopefully good, but the games all have amazing stories that make me think they clearly wanted to make an Indiana Jones game and couldn’t get licensing rights.

What People don’t want is his son (lebeuf’s Character) or a female sidekick take over. There is no version of Phoebe Waller whatever that I want To see carry on the “Indiana Jones” franchise

The definition of sexism, is something that’s true, and it’s really inconveniently true.

If someone calls you sexist. You know your on target.
