No, Spielberg is not doing the day in day out producing his own films. He's too busy working on pre pro and filming them.

frick right off. I'm not attacking her because she's a woman. I'm attacking her because she's merely road on coattails of much greater men... or I guess people since I guess that's a trigger warning for you. I'm looking at her filmography and can't find one good movie that doesn't involve either Spielberg or some other director/writer that knows what they're doing.

Don't play dumb. Claiming all she did was "fetch coffee" and only got a job b/c she was having sex with Frank Marshall is 100% sexist and you know it.
A person does not get that many producer credits or work with a director like Spielberg for that long if they are just there to run menial errands. It's such a stupid claim that you can't even defend it with facts and have to force yourself to completely ignore how much work goes into producing to make yourself believe it.

If Kennedy a least made good movies, then the coffee fetcher "producer" card wouldn't be played. Because she would then have proven she can make good films.
Then she would have more credibility when making woke decisions in established film franchises.

So... lets say you want to do the whole globe trotting adventurer in the roaring 20s and 30s thing. That isn't a bad idea actually. People will absolutely watch a good movie set in the era.
You want to do it with a female lead? Well, there were historical female adventurers and explorers in that time period. Right actress, right director, and right script you can pull that off too.
On the other hand... replacing an established and beloved character? You've just gone from an interesting, and potentially successful, premise to pissing off the very fans that would otherwise be interested in the movie.
Come up with an original IP in that setting. Don't enrage the fans. It is not rocket science.
