Didn't read the 7 page thread so this may be mentioned but "Would you Rather" was GREAT. It's one of the top 10 movies I've ever seen, well known or not.

Least amount of dialogue in any movie I have ever seen, with the exception of "A Quiet Place".

But man it delivers

That movie freaked me the frick out. It's amazing.

Not sure if it meets the definition of relatively obscure, but Hollywood Knights

Great coming of age, low brow comedy. Similar to American Graffiti but better imo. A great soundtrack, nails the era, and the early careers of an absolute stellar cast. Robert Wuhl, Michelle Pfeiffer, Tony Danza, Fran Drescher, and Gary Graham.

The scene where they give Jimmy Shine (Graham) the car and put in the California Dreamin 8-track hits me hard.

Also, Big Wednesday. Gary Busey at his best

Both were heavy in the early '80's HBO rotation.

Why is it amazing that Howard Keel was one of the biggest movie stars? That man could sing. (He was great as Clayton Farlow on “Dallas,” too)

This was chosen by our football coach to watch after school before a football game when school let out early for the Parish Fair. We were not allowed to leave of course. Good movie.

Peter Sellers won the Oscar for "Being There", so not sure how obscure it is. A bit of a classic.

Nominated, didn't win. Lost out to Dustin Hoffman in Kramer vs. Kramer. Not that something can't be nominated for an Oscar and still be relatively obscure. Case in point--

Probably in my top five favorite films of all time and no one under the age of 40 has ever heard of it. Nominated for Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Actor. According to director Richard Rush "it wasn't released, it escaped." And, other than saying it is a movie about movies I have no earthly idea how to remotely explain the story and the plot without spoiling everything. It's one of those A Clockwork Orange/Blue Velvet what in the hell am I watching and what in the hell is going on films.

Envy. 2004. Jack Black and Ben Stiller. Not an award winner, but has it's funny moments. I didn't even know this movie existed. I watched it on accident.

'Vapoorizer'

Who hasn't stepped in dog s*** and wished for something like this?

My go to in these threads is always
Frailty: Bill Paxton, Mathew McConaughey, and Powers Boothe. Excellent thriller. 2001

New go to will be
Wolf of Snow Hollow: great horror comedy.
Jim Cummings kills it as the soon to be sheriff. He plays unhinged hilariously.

ETA: unless I overlooked it I can’t believe Frailty hadn’t been mentioned. It’s usually on page 1 of these threads.
