After reading threads like these for 5 years and seeing everyone say the Wire and just ignoring it, I finally am binging it now. About to start season 3 ive been hammering it out over about a week i think. Shouldve watched forever ago

Must watch The Wire and The Sopranos. 2 great HBO shows.

Freaks and Geeks, Marco Polo, Daredevil, Peaky Blinders, Sherlock.

If complexity is what you're after, you may as well start The Leftovers right about now.

Do you know a place I can stream (on fire stick) BSG the mini series? Phoenix has a link, but it's dead.

on Hulu if you haven't seen it, only 8 episodes and it's a self contained story that isn't coming back.

The leftovers even though its 2 seasons and wait. s3 will be the final, and rightfully so. excellent and very complex.

Justified. not so much on the character progression but the story progresses really well in each season. Season 2 is one of my fav seasons of tv ever. however, if you ever plan on watching Deadwood... do that first. Olyphant will seem like a Beta bytch if you watch it after.

Supernatural was good for a few seasons. always the same plot i guess but the characters definitely have ups and downs.

The british version of being human.

Sons of anarchy.

maybe House? typical misdiagnose, misdiagnose, misdiagnose, get it right just in time. But the interaction of the characters is what makes it such a good show.

Nice timing on this thread. I just finished Mad Men and need something to fill the time between now and football season.

Here are some shows I have watched in the past few years that I'd recommend, in no particular order:

Mad Men
Community
Homeland
The Sopranos
The Shield
Justified
House
Shameless
Longmire

(If I were putting an order to the list Mad Men and The Sopranos would be at the top)

They are all finished except for Shameless, one more season starting in January, and Longmire, one more season starting in October.

I'm leaning towards The Americans, Fringe, and Person of Interest for my next binge.

I can't bring myself to give a shite about Walking Dead, Sons of Anarchy, or Game of Thrones.
