Animated series aren't usually my thing but Genndy Tartakovsky's "Primal" was awesome. Watched S1 on HBO Max in one sitting. No dialogue, just incredible visual story telling.

I've rated 38 movies since the shut down, these four stand out:

Just saw "Yesterday" good feel good movie with a Beatles (cover) soundtrack.

Started X-Files for the first time ever last week. So far so good! A little cheesy but I’m into it.

Started the Narcos series on Netflix! Went out of order and watched Mexico first but enjoyed it enough to be 2 episodes from finishing season 1 of regular Narcos.

I like atmospheric horror such as Goodnight Mommy, We Are What We Are...even Picnic at Hanging Rock (which isn't really the same genre) but Midsommar was not only a rip-off of The Wicker Man (the original which didn't have the bees) but it was boring.

80% of the movie is set-up for some twist and you know all along...there wouldn't be a twist because they wouldn't have made this movie based on how boring it is.

I hate movies that have nothing to say but for setting the stage for most of the movie. It's like you just want to fast-forward because what comes before means nothing.

Friday Night Lights- the series. Not really deep plots but fun to watch. Good family values with the Taylors.

For the Love of the Game- not sure why I waited this long to watch this movie. Very good.

Just binged through five seasons of “Doc Martin” in a week. Nothing fancy about the show but I needed a break from watching too much news so it was an enjoyable diversion. I know I was late to the party on this one, but the best way to describe th show is a cross between “Monk” and “House”.

we finally started watching Hannibal and the 40 minute episodes have allowed us to blow through the first two seasons. Started season 3 last night.

love everything about it, except for the try-hard artsy shite it tries a couple of times per episode (mainly with the weird creepy deer scenes). Seems unnecessary IMO but the rest of the show is incredible.
