Rating the Late Night Hosts? Say, top 5?

For me it’s not too hard, but my sense of humor trends toward the absurd and I love a good interviewer.
5) Stewart
4) Ferguson
3) Conan
2) Carson

All I know is that Seth Meyers is the worst. God I cant stand that dude.

I think Seth is talented and could be a good host of something else; he was funny on SNL. He’d have been a great Daily Show correspondent back in the Stewart days, for instance.

The alumni list of the people who went through/got their start working on Conan's show in the 90's and early 00's is pretty incredible:
Bob Odenkirk, Amy Poehler, Louis C.K, Robert Smigel, H. Jon Benjamin, Mindy Kaling, Matt Walsh, Jack McBrayer, Vanessa Bayer, John Krasinski, Ellie Kemper, Bobby Moynihan, Rob Riggle, Rob Corddry

Not necessarily in this order:
Carson
Carson
Carson
Carson
Carson
After that it's
Pre-CBS Letterman
NBC Conan
Leno
And that's it, the rest are pretty pathetic.

They all suck these days (except for Conan). These assholes have lost their fricking minds so much that now the furthest person to the Right is Bill fricking Maher, the guy who 5 years ago was the furthest to the Left. They’re just all a bunch of hacks these days that openly despise half the country. Seems like there’s a big untapped market.

Kimmel has taken the biggest fall, he just seems to suffer from political derangement. I think a lot of them want to take the Stewart role of being more than just a comedian.
conan makes trump jokes but for the most part aims to just be funny

Early NBC Letterman is probably the best for me personally.
Ch. 33 would tape delay it, when it already aired at a unreal hour. We'd wait up all night to watch him, circa 83-85. Stoned waiting for Letterman on Aster Dr

His first few seasons were greatness. The decline had set in before CBS. It was just too painful to watch him after CBS; knowing what he'd once been.

yep, can you imagine a more right wing host with production taking place in..say..Texas

James Corden has the best sketches imo outside of some of the classics from Kimmel/Damon/Affleck and JT/Fallon. I'd never watch the show in its entirety, but I consistently enjoy the skits.

This has been tired before and it’s never worked.

Yeah, get Norm on Fox and have it filmed in Dallas.
