on 12/28/16 at 3:49 pm

If Rocky was asked this question, what would his own list look like?
Out these (listed in chronological order of the movies):
1. Fighting Apollo to a draw as an unknown an huge underdog
2. Marrying Adrian
3. Rocky Jr's birth
4. Winning the title from Apollo
5. Tossing Thunderlips out the ring (threw this in to make the list an even 10
6. Overcoming fear and beating Clubber Lang in their rematch
7. Beating Drago
8. Beating Tommy Gunn in the the street/gut checking Creighton Duke "Touch me and I'll sue" (listed for the same reason same as 4)
9. Fighting Mason Dixon and taking him to a decision
10. Developing Adonis Creed to a contender.

1. Ending the Cold War
If this isn't your number 1, you're wrong.
If this isn't your number 1, you're wrong.

This is #1.
quote:
During this fight, I've seen a lot of changing, the way yous feel about me, and in the way I felt about you. In here, there were two guys killing each other, but I guess that's better than 20 million. I guess what I'm trying to say, is that if I can change, and you can change, everybody can change!
quote:
7. Beating Drago
The Russian killed his friend and he went on and won the fight, in Russia, during the cold war.
Easily top 5.
ETA: Not to mention winning the crowd.

On top of that, he came out of retirement and trained in Drago's backyard on Soviet soil to accomplish that.

Cause he's rich now, and that's the type of jacket you buy when you're Philly rich.

Not only beating Clubber but apparently knocking his arse straight into retirement after Clubber buried himself in Rocky's head has to be his most personally satisfying moment.
Kicking the shite out of his trash talking protégé and current heavyweight champ in a street brawl ranks second.

Not running Adrian off after he put his pits right in her face hanging on that pipe in his ceiling the first date
The entire fight from the first movie is filled with satisfying moments.
The part where Rocky knocks Creed down at the begining.
The part where Rocky starts fighting back hard and people start to realize he's not going out easy.
Then "Going the Distance" starts playing and what was suppose to be a ten second fight turned into a fricking war.
When he gets knocked down and Mick tells him to stay down but he gets back up. Creed looks at him like "come on man, don't do this."
When the crowd starts chanting "Rocky! Rocky!"
When Rocky starts breaking Creeds ribs and comes within a second of knocking him out in the last round.
Then after the fight when starts yelling for Adrian. He wasn't even listening to the announcer saying the scores. He didn't even care. He went the distance when he should have gotten destroyed within seconds and he just wanted to share it with Adrian.
The final act in that movie has always the best I've ever seen. Just my opinion.
But if you want to call that one moment, some of the others would be:
In Creed when little Creed said he had to prove to himself that he's not a mistake.
In Rocky 3 when Rocky is yelling at Clubber "Hit me harder! Ain't so bad!" I love that, lol.
The fight montage in Rocky 4 was awesome. That might be the best fight in the series, IMO.
I'm sure there are more, those are just the ones off the top of my head.
