Saw this on HBO/ Max app. recently. Interesting cast of Viggo Mortensen, Ed Harris, and William Hurt.
Wise guys show up in a small town and threaten man's family. Simple enough and I had low expectations not really knowing the cast going in. First half was good story but went totally sideways for the 2nd half. Oh well.

Universally lauded as a great movie, top 10 film of the year and one of the 100 best films since 2000.

I love that movie! It’s pretty rewatchable too.

The pissed off wife and William Hurt as a mob boss didn't quite work for me I guess.

Awesome movie.
Viggo and Cronenberg had two gems within a couple years I rewatch occasionally - the other being Eastern Promises, which is fanfrickingtastic.

Eastern Promises was a way better film but I liked both. both had a solid twist.
