Quiet On Set: Nickelodeon Documentary

It’s on HBO Max if you haven’t seen it yet and it’s pretty fricked yo what was happening behind the scenes. Dan Schneider is truly a horrible disgusting person. The scenes with a 13 year old Ariana Grande was disturbing and she wasn’t the only even the boys like Drake Bell were victims.

It's infuriating and heartbreaking at the same time.
That some unhinged parent hasn't murdered Dan Schneider is baffling.
That it hasn't been Amanda Bynes' parents is a modern mystery.

I am not defending Schneider in any way, he was an a-hole that abused his power and allowed predators to gain access and power over kids.
BUT
Him being a misogynistic a-hole that made kids film scenes with sexual inuendos is a far cry from the Brian Peck guy and the other guy that actually molested and raped kids.
Not saying that Schneider wasn't a POS. He definitely was. But the focus of the documentary missed, imo, because they tried to act like being an a-hole and a misogynist is equal to raping children.
I think I was soured going in knowing the main "investigator" is a writer for Business Insider who is known to approach a story with an angle and only look for evidence to support that angle while ignoring any evidence that does not support the angle.
I also thought the main focus should have been on the overall climate of Hollywood and abusing children rather than how much of a dick Dan Schneider is.

The worst part was watching Drake Bell's dad. He KNEW what this guy wanted to do to his son. He watched him make advances in front of the other pedos on set.
So what did these heroes do? They accused him of "homophobia" to shut him up, then leveraged that to get his kid away from him so the pedophile could get access to his kid without interference.
Then after it all comes out, the other pedophiles show up in court to support the molester, and write positive letters so he can be rehired somewhere else.

I know all the rumors/blinds about Dan Schneider for the longest time. I say I won't watch it, then I end up watching it and buying a new TV. frick that dude.

This should have been a one episode Doc about Drake Bell being molested/raped and how the POS predator got access to the kids.
Why Dan Schneider being a mean boss is lumped in is a mystery. I also don't understand the insinuation that he was racist when 2 of his biggest stars were keenan and kel.

I worked in Hollywood for quite a while. Bunch of spineless losers. They don’t go against the herd. Everyone “knows about it” and does nothing until one person says it’s OK to do something. It’s like the Weinstein thing. Or like the Will Smith / Chris Rock thing, when people gave Will Smith a standing ovation for assaulting one of the nicest guys in the business. Jim Carrey nailed it the next day, when he said “I was disgusted. I realized, Hollywood isn’t the cool kids anymore.”
The people supporting Peck in the courtroom knew what he did. The ones who wrote letters of support knew what he did. But this was before social media was so powerful, they never thought those records would be unsealed. Spineless losers with no morals or values. None.

Thought the same thing. He's a pervert and a fat a-hole, but from what Drake Bell said it seems like the other guy went all the way to anal rape. I felt literally nauseous watching his interview while seeing pics of that smiling successful Hollywood hotshot. I'd enjoy seeing him burned alive like an ISIS video

I'm NOLA based guy and you have to know the ridiculousness of "live on the Northshore, your kids are safe."
From the time I was 17 and dating a girl in Slidell, she was being molested by her step-father who was on city council and confided in me. I told her to she needs to GTFO and tell everyone. Thanks man, I couldn't recall exactly.
ETA: There's another one. I'll look it up. But it's easily a sit down interview with comedians and someone just blatantly states that Bill Cosby rapes peoples.
