Agreed. Solid popcorner

I agree. It isn't an amazing film, but it serves it's purpose. It's good in its own way.

Meh.
It's decent but Sharon Stone playing some gunslinger in the old west doesn't interest me.
We got this movie when I worked at a movie theatre whenever this movie came out. I still have yet to watch the whole thing.
Big Gene Hackman fan though. He always plays a great character.

Shitty movie. Gigantic waste of a solid cast

It's a great movie. It's style is great. The shots are well done. I'm a Sam Raimi fan. Hackman was great as usual. Crowe was great. Stone had to work for it, but by the last third of the film she owned it. One of my top 5 westerns.

OVER THE LINE!
Good movie, but NO WAYYYYY a top 5 western. You need to watch more westerns.

Knock off Dances and Open Range, add The Proposition and The Wild Bunch, and that is my list as well.

I seem to remember that when this movie was coming out, the trailer had a scene with Sharon Stone and Leonardo, gettin it on....but once the movie came out, it was cut. Would be curious to see that scene.

Ok, meet in the middle and knock off Open Range. Tatanka is worthy, I suppose. Wild Bunch is required in every top 10 Western list, and the Proposition should be a staple as well.

That's it! Nobody.....and I mean nobody...hates on Kevin Costner and gets away with it.

Good form.

Haven't seen it yet, surprisingly enough. I've heard great things. Thanks for reminding me to check it out. What did you think of it?

I really liked it. Ed and Viggo are pretty badass together and I thought it had a good plot and great scenery.
