Why didnt Yoda go and help luke? He expected some teen to be able to fight Vader and Sidious ?

Did you watch the movie? Yoda wasn't a spring chicken.
And Yoda is a bitch that couldn't defeat them when he had the chance, and ran away to hide and wait 25 years for Luke to grow up so he could train him to do what he couldn't do in Revenge of the Sith.
Hell Yoda could'nt even defeat Dooku.

At 900 years old, arthritis had began to settle in.

If I recall correctly Yoda dies before Luke's final encounter.

Someone had to stay and tend to the swamp. Those alien manatee-buzzards don't milk themselves.

Pretty lame excuse.

I always understood it as Dagobah, because of its dark side cave, hid Yoda from being found by the Emperor and he stayed there just in case Luke was killed so he could train Leia.
Because when Luke left Yoda told Obi-wan that "there is another." Referring to another Skywalker/Jedi out there to train.

He was walking with a cane and taking rides on people during episodes 1-3.

When 900 years old you reach, kick arse as good you will not.

In Revenge of the Sith, he's flipping around like a maniac, and didn't look 880 years old, but he turns 900 and now he's bedridden.

Sometimes it just hits you like that.

Yoda follows the asian women aging process.

(Before prequel trilogy answer) He was too old and a confrontation with anyone probably would have killed him. Also, a puppet in a lightsaber fight...
(After prequel trilogy answer) After he failed to defeat Darth Sidious, he cast himself into exile. He needed to find someone more powerful than he is to defeat the dark side. He knew only Luke (or Leia) could defeat the Emperor because they are Skywalkers and are strong in The Force. Also, something, something, something, dark side. Something, Something, Something, complete.

Yoda and Luke were both huge losers at the end of the day.
Both ran and hid and gave up in the end.

He had one big burst of energy left and gassed out after that.

Was it the Darkside cave?
I took it as Dagobah being a swamp world it was just a mass of teeming life. And since the force flows through all things in the OT the best place to hide if you're strong in it is out of view completely or plain sight among a shitload of unintelligent life that won't give you away for a few credits.
But yeah Yoda had a quick decline from PT to OT.

Sooooo basically Lucas didn’t think it through when he delivered the fan porn of Yoda fighting in the prequels

Like most the PT, surrounded by Yes men and his own farts.
