Don't.

It's been awhile so I can't exactly remember the scene sequence but there's this loooooong drawn out scene or series of scenes where these four chicks are just sitting around frickin' yammering about a bunch 'a shite. It's like listening to frickin' dolphins squeak and squeal.

Anyway, if you see it, just fast forward through any scene that has more than two women in it. It's got a few good parts.

I dont like a lot of his work. Especially when he rips off grindhouse cinema with big budget.

People forget this but at the time it was released, John Travolta being in it was probably it's biggest selling point. Not because he was a big star, just the opposite. He was a has been and people wanted to see him in this weird and unusual role. A role that was supposed to trigger this amazing comeback and of course did.

Okay?

Grindhouse wasn't horrible but it was crazy to have five hours of movies with the intermission.

Well there in lies the problem clint. His style is built on this whole retro feel to all of his movies. That as time passes looks less and less like a tribute or hommage to certain styles of past filmmaking and more and more like a rip off and lack or originality.

We get it. You like spaghetti westerns, old style kungfu, grindhouse movies and whatever else.

You've paid all your so called "tributes". Now do something original.

Tarantino's "thing" got old for me after a few films. It seemed clever when I was in my 20's, but it just bores me now. In many ways, he's not much more than a pornographer. Sometimes while watching one of his movies, I'll just think to myself that this guy is just a coked-up homo.

Django, 8, Hollywood, Grindhouse all sucked. Basterds was the only one from the last several years that I liked, but even it was just fantasy revenge porn.

His "proteges" Eli Roth and RZA are basically the same thing, only progressively shittier, respectively.

And by "People," you mean you, right? You seem more fixated on Tarantino than anyone else on this board.

I get where you're coming from. The guy needs a new angle for sure.

If he could somehow recapture that pitch perfect magic he created with Dogs then he could really reinvigorate himself.

Even something like the Bills, which I think was his very best work and two of my all time favorite movies.

He would do alot better if he would stop making movies he wants to see and get back to making movies his audience wants to see. Legitimately fun or gripping movies.

Those days seem over for him.

This is the worst take I have ever seen

No, not like me at all. I don't take movies personally.

Quentin Tarantino is a provocative director that makes provocative movies.

I think I've started one Tarantino related thread and it was about the sword butch used to kill zed and his boy.

I kinda wondered if that might've been a hanzo sword.

Fair enough. So in your opinion has he made a "bad" movie? Or are all of them good?

For starters, I don’t think you’re a fan of his.

Can't believe so many of y'all hated Hateful 8. I laughed my arse off at several scenes. And it has a mystery to it.

I'm not a fan of kill bill, but I did like "Thriller: a cruel picture". Its what he was ripping off while simultaneously trying to make an eastern and a western.

I liked reservoir dogs and pulp fiction, feel like he stopped trying after his success with those..or always tried to re-copy his success formula which in turn makes you 1 dimensional

Says the guy who started his own Tarantino thread and is constantly posting about him in other threads

But to answer the original question, I wasn’t a fan of Hateful Eight, I really liked Django up until the last 25 minutes (everything after the shootout at candy land) and I haven’t seen Death Proof
