Spoilers:
That Viking chick would have frozen to death so quickly when she went into the water
Whatever you do, avoid the new Mission: Impossible movie then.

Oh don’t start that.

Why? It's pointless to point out things that wouldn't occur in real life. Yes, she would have frozen to death. Yes, the samurai would have fallen to his death. Of course, the pilot cannot hang on the wing of his plane. Predators don't exist. Would the humans be able to breathe off Earth? No human would attempt to fight these creatures they've never seen before. They would all poop their pants and take out running.
It's all fantasy.
You should see the things they do in Castlevania.

fiction requires a willing suspension of disbelief which is perfectly normal and required for fantasy or sci fi to to work. That’s perfectly fine.
Here they are pushing things so ludicrously from the humans perspective it breaks the suspension of disbelief.
To be honest, I did think the ninja portion was better in this regard. And I actually really like Castlevannia and that also doesn’t disrupt my suspension of disbelief

Also, pretty sure no pilot has ever climbed out on the wing of his fighter plane to try and kick off a burning fuel tank while in an active battle.
A more reasonable yet still cartoony thing he could have tried? Skimming the surface of the ocean to put out the fire.
But of course they're gonna let a green pilot who was somehow allowed on a carrier yet couldn't get his plane to work to steal a spare bucket of bolts that magically got fully loaded with ammo to take off, catch up to the squadron and then engage in the fight.
But nevermind all that, the movie NEEDED it all to happen, so it did.

The fact they've actually been abducting the survivors to make them fight each other in gladiator type games really cheapens their mystique, imo.
Agree with this.
I watched it a few nights ago and liked it way more than I should have. I'm on the "the third story was very down from the first two, and the final act was just okay" train with everyone else. But all in all it was still a solid watch.
"The Sword" piece was cool, but I really liked the first story with the Vikings, "The Shield." That was cool, and that woman was a badass. Also, I saw the complaint about her not freezing to death in the water...am I wrong to think that people who are born and bred in the cold would naturally have a better tolerance for cold temperatures (including water) than normal folks? That didn't really bother me.
I also do agree with the point about the Bullet portion being far too easy for the predator. It's normally a lot move evenly matched than that.
Regardless though, this was a fun/cool little watch. I'm glad I saw this thread.

Bump. Watched it and enjoyed highly.
Many much flaws detailed above but it was fun. I’d compare it to Predators of being imperfect but being fun.
The idea of collecting victors has been out there since Predator 2.

I liked the first two segments the best, didn't love the fighter pilot

Who downvotes this. It was amazing for an animated film.

I thought it was good but it also made the Predators less awesome. When you think about it they have what should be insurmountable advantage thanks to their tech so watching them lose, even just 3 times over hundreds of years is pathetic.

They always lose.

They do but not in like 20 minutes.

The ending hasn't changed for me.

Thanks for the heads up.
