sparked by the Stand By Me /the Sandlot thread

I'm having trouble trying to swallow the fact that a poster in the other thread actually chose the Sandlot over the GOONIES!?!? So I want to take a count on what ya'll think?

a lot may have to do with age....but c'mon

Hands down the Sandlot is one of the best sports movies/comedies of its time...I must say I'm a proud owner....but better than Spielberg's GOONIES, not even close IMO.

what say you?

votes
GOONIES- 28

Sandlot- 9

Goonies.

In the mid-80's I would have sold my soul to be a Goonie. I already played baseball at least twice a week. It's a no-brainer here.

Depends on when you ask. I would rather watch Sandlot if it is on nowadays, but if you asked which I liked better as a kid, HANDS DOWN Goonies.

So, Goonies is my vote. Even if Rudy had to use an inhaler.

Tough one, but I would have to go with Goonies.

I can't wait to share these movies with my future kids.

Dude, I knew his character wasnt Rudy in the flick. I know Mikey and Chunk and Mouth, and hell, even No Country for Old Men Brand Walsh.

Yeah, Goonies rocked.
