It’s a shame they didn’t bring back Tim Allen for this. I think that’s going to be distracting. Only heard one word out of Evans mouth.

I agree that it should have been Tim. The decision was obviously based in politics. Pretty sad.

Well I’ll be there. My 5-year-old just had a Buzz themed birthday party, and my 20-month-old walks around the house calling for “Buzzy.”

Hopefully there’s a twist where he’s playing Zurg or something. Of characters linked to their voice actor, Tim Allen has to be in the Top 10 alongside Tom Hanks being Woody.

Production for TS4 began in 2014. Tim was never reconsidered at that point. But right before the release is when Last Man Standing fell apart and Disney started looking elsewhere for the voice for Lightyear. It was political.

I was completely unaware of this project, when I read Evans I assumed it must be a live action version.
Why recast the voice actor if it's another animated film? There's a reason he doesn't say anything until the final word of the teaser, because it's not the voice of Buzz.
That said, it was a good teaser and I'm definitely interested in this movie. Starman is the icing on the cake.
