Just saw this. It looks absurd but it’s actually a well made film.

It’s not your typical Nic Cage movie that’s easy to mock and ridicule. It’s more arthouse than the usual B-Movie trash he’s starred in over the last 15+ years.

The niche little world of the film is very unique and the story and characters are interesting. First Nic Cage movie in ages that I can say is solid.

I recommend watching it without knowing anything about the plot.

Wanted to like it do to the positive reception it got, but still left me feeling like it was meh.

Cage and his sidekick did a fine job acting, but the story left a lot to be desired

It was great. I thought it was very moving. Some issues mostly at the beginning but overall very encouraging

Watched this last night and thought it was pretty good. If you're bored it's worth a watch.

He got good reviews for Mandy too. Cage has such a weird catalogue. His best stuff (Raising Arizona, Moon Struck, Wild At Heart, Leaving Las Vegas, Bringing Out The Dead, Adaptation, Matchstick Men, Lord Of War is one hell of an 18 year run of greatness. And then the misses are really bad too. Can't think of another star w/ that kind of list of great movies with the same amount of garbage.

I thought it was just ok, but there were a few fantastic scenes. The discussion with the guy that never opened his pub was the standout.

Red Eye Radio was pimping this, unsolicited, last week. Definitely an interesting concept.

On my watch list. It's on Amazon, right?

I loved it

It sets up like a violent revenge thriller but ends up subverting a lot of those tropes.

I love the critique of the restaurant industry and the themes of grief.

Just overall a very well done, well acted film that will absolutely get some nominations.

But if you replace the dog with a pig and take away about 100 deaths. It's basically John Wick...
