Pendragon Cycle: Rise of Merlin now on Prime

The daily wire produced show is now on Prime. I saw it was #3 on shows so I thought what the hell I’ll give it a watch.
I am baffled. There is some good stuff inside here. There is.
But the first two episodes are totally disjointed and incomprehensible. Not even a shred of exposition explaining for even a second what the hell is going on and who any of these people are. Just all over the place. I rarely give up on shows and I like Arthurian stuff, but this is truly hard to watch
I assume Merlin actually shows up eventually. Does it get better?

I lasted two episodes and gave up. Does that mean it actually gets good or just better than the pile of shite from the first two episodes?

It's fantastic throughout. I was confused after the first two episodes, but it was totally worth it because they were awesome.
Also, yes. Merlin shows up at the end of episode 2.

After the 1 & 2 it starts to clean up and stay focused.
But it was all over the place and hard to keep up with what was going on in the beginning.

Started this after getting burned by Witcher(post S2… S1is one of my favorites) and Wheel of Time.
I get the first two episodes being a hard feel but actually really get what they’re going for after that. I was all in after that.
It really is a solid rendition and honestly more interesting/gripping than RoP

Let’s not pretend that GoT isn’t or the Witcher made sense the first couple of episodes

I agree with how disjointed episodes 1&2 are to the rest of the series. Otherwise I thoroughly enjoyed it. The ending also seemed quite a bit rushed.

leaves you wondering if a season 2 is coming (it isn’t) and if there was going to be a season 2 why they would essentially spoil the entire plot of season 2.

After the first two episodes it was decent but there was a lot of jumping around and some totally inexplicable scenes
If they get another season I really hope they get some screenwriters that can tighten things up

Almost started it last night. Looked it up on imdb and saw the rating was 6/10 so passed. Might give it a go at some point but a 6/10 normally means CW level bad.

i liked it more than Wheel of Time by far. not more than Witcher S1, but more than WoT or RoP.

Yea I mean that's not going to stop me from watching it but it was late and if it had been highly rated I might have started it. Looks interesting.

Outside of the horrid pacing and all the jumping around of the first 2 episodes I did enjoy them.
I'm now through episode 4 though and am not sure if I will keep going, as its a bit of a slog.
The 6.1 IMBD is clearly too low but its also not great either.
