frick me. That was the best episode of TV I’ve seen in a long time. And what a way to answer my question after last week’s episode.

When Billy was outside you could see what looked like destroyed city in the background. So, either some missiles made it or it is just destruction from society breaking down. You can see there are some tall buildings still standing. But, they did mention Denver was targeted early on before everything went full scale.

SPOLIERS
So, was Sinatra lying or did someone from the outside actually kill the President? It would make some sense that it was someone from the outside that did kill him as it would somewhat explain why she wanted the murder covered up as natural causes.
I still think it was the young female agent. Now that its known the President was murdered, she is going to pivot and use the disinformation as a scare tactic to rally the populace to keep the outside world out of the bunker.

It’s plausible, but I don’t believe her. She’s manipulative. I think the President found out about people outside and she was going to have none of his foolishness thinking about helping them.
And I think her little war models she said they ran were BS too. I think when we get more flashbacks we will see that.

I got caught up last week. Thanks for posting
First couple episodes were really really good. Then there was a bit of a lul.
But this last episode was great… tough to watch and very intense, but in a good way. When the President was leaving the White House… intense.

frick me I'm only 15 minutes in and that scene in Jakarta was fricking terrifying. Could be the best episode of TV I've ever seen. Certainly in the top 3.

Spoilers
One nuke detonated while they were still on Air Force One, I took it as Denver being hit.

I thought the same thing but didn’t want to go too overboard with my opinion.
Intense great episode

I think it was Marsha. The staffer who got left behind. Sinatra said it was someone from outside and she certainly has the motive if she was able to survive.

I feel like that was one of the best episodes in the history of television.

I feel ya. After I watched it, I just pretty much stared at the TV for an hour just in shock of how amazing that was. Acting was superb all around . James Marsden needs an award for that episode . He was phenomenal. Also, I had my surround sound kicking last night and those shockwaves that came thru, scared the living shite out of me.

That makes sense too. And she would know who was inside and maybe have help once inside. I can see the writers doing this. Lots of great twists and turns.

I don't think I blinked from the time he stopped to speak to the cleaning guy (which they set up beautifully with Cal glancing at him at times) to the time the military big wigs made it known their plane was going down. It was gut wrenching.
The episode did a great job filling in the blanks of why there isn't a larger presence of the previous government in the bubble, and made Sinatra's role as de facto czar more plausible. They have used the flashback scenes better than any TV show in history. Its that good.

I think Sinatra orchestrated the other plane going down. No Congress No SC. I just watched the last episode. They have done a great job making Sinatra a legit supervillain. Best TV I have seen in a long time.

And I swear it’s like every super villain story ever, he just sits there and listens to her. You have someone like that in front of you, put a bullet in their head. Cut the head off the snake. Don’t listen to them.

I've got to get caught back up. Haven't seen anything since episode two

The only thing that comes to mind that was as jarring/intense/thought-provoking as this episode was GOT Red Wedding…. ??
